Hi, I have a Travelmate dual zone fridge freezer that I am going to connect via Anderson plug to the auxiliary battery. My question is, do I need a circuit breaker/ fuse between battery and fridge. If so what size fuse. Thanks, Tim

Eva Cool Travelmate 51L dual zone works fine on 240v no display on screen with 12v. Supply and fuse is good 13v measured at back of Anderson plug going into fridge. Fridge is approximately 2 years old.

My Evakool Travelmate TMDZ95 says on the display that they are -16 C and 4C but both are freezing food.

I have the TMDZ95 in my camper. It appears to be running fine but will not cool or freeze. No error codes nothing. Just stays at 25 degrees both sides.

Hi Stephanie, have you checked to see if it behaves the same on 12V and 240V? If yes, we suggest visiting a service agent to have your fridge looked at - external link

I picked up a new down under series 2 96l fridge today, for our hybrid caravan. Got it home and hooked it up. One of the compartments cools down but the other stays at 25 degrees.

This was a replacement to another fridge that had a similar fault

I have a new Evacool 51 litre dual zone fridge. It will not run on the camper battery voltage at all. I get the E1 for each zone. I have it set to VL but it says voltage too low despite batteries at 14.2v. It will run on mains power when plugged in direct to mains. Initially it shows the temps, clicks a few times but does not start up. Any suggestions appreciated.

Tom

Evakool Travelmate TMDZ60-51L Dual Zone. I find the manual poor on detail as follows: a) Temperature panel shows symbols a rectangle on the left and a rectangle with dog leg on the right. No explanation is included. b) No mention is made of what the left and right temperature settings are doing ie is the fridge operating temperature the average of these two settings or with 3 baskets will some be at a lower temperature like a freezer compartment. c) No mention is made of current draw eg at 4 to 5 Celsius and an ambient temperature of 25 Celsius the compressor would be operating at 1A /hr over 24 hours and would operate continuously at 3.6A/hr if ambient was 38 celsius d) No mention is made of the suitability of the VL cut out voltage for AGM and Lithium batteries. I know with AGM batteries you will permanently reduce their capacity if you go below 20% capacity and 10.1V is below this.

Hi Guys, I have a TMDZ-70 that I am try to run both zones at -18°C so as an all freezer. I have entered the desired temperatures and set, was fine until a few days ago, now one zone has gone up to -7°C and won't get any colder.I have ruled out a faulty Display Screen by using a secondary thermometer which is reading the same. Still under warranty, any ideas on what could cause this, being a dual zone, does this have separate thermistor etc for each zone ? Regards

I have a down under dual zone 95l fridge in our hybrid van. The fridge works well even in high temps up north but I’ve noticed the lids have both warped on the corners and not sealing properly. It was bought in Sept 21 wondering if anyone has similar issue.

My Name is David l Own the Current Downunder Series 95 litre Firdge / freezer Can You Tell Me What the Code F1-02 mean the fridge Was Working Perfectly But Now Won't Start up !! Just Displaces that Code l Think the Circuit Breaker Switch Might Be Faulty ?? But will Evakool In the Morning to See Want They Recommend to Get it Going again

EvaKool Australia
EvaKool Australia   DM

Hi David, F1 means that you've gone into the thermistor setting, which customers don't need access too. You would've done this while the fridge is OFF and by pressing the SET button (looks like a cog). To get out of this setting, simply press the ON/OFF button and the fridge should turn on.

If you require further assistance, please contact our customer service team on 1300 385 665.

Hi. I have an Evakool 95L fridge freezer (TMDZ-95) in my camper trailer which was working well until yesterday. It has had approximately 60 days use since new last year. The set points are: +5/-12 fridge /freezer and it's suddenly started indicating a current temperature of +5/+70 from yesterday. The fridge and freezer compartments are working fine. However, the freezer temperature indicator won’t move of 70C so the compressor won’t stop, hence flattening the batteries. Have swapped power source from 12v to 240v and no change. Have turned on and off, no change. Has anyone had this happen and how did you fix it? Thanks for any help.

EvaKool Australia
EvaKool Australia   DM

Hi Sandy, Could be a faulty thermistor or display board, however it is hard to diagnose without knowing the full scope of the situation. It would definitely be best for you to take your fridge to a service agent which will be covered under warranty.

For further assistance please don't hesitate to contact EvaKool on 1300 385 665.

Hi Benno, You may just need to reset the app, try deleting the app and reinstalling it and see how you go. You can follow our app troubleshooting manual on our website. The only EvaKool model that allows for one side to be turned off is the Down Under Series.

If you need any further assistance, please contact our Customer Service Team on 1300 385 665.

My eva cool all of a sudden saying E2 error, what does this mean?

EvaKool Australia
EvaKool Australia   DM

Hi Libbi, It's hard to say without all the information but typically an E2 can be caused by low voltage, high ambient/overheating or a fan fault. Feel free to call our customer service team for further troubleshooting on 1300 385 665.

Regards, EvaKool.

Hi. All of a sudden the temperature on my Evakool 95L fridge freezer (TMDZ-95, fitted to a camper trailer) has gone haywire; the set points are: +2/-7 fridge /freezer and it's indicating +13/-15. In a matter of hours the indicated values split and continued to split. Have swapped power source from 12v to 240v and no change. Have turned on and off, no change. Was working fine for the first 3 days of our 12 month trip. Has anyone had this happen and how did you fix it? Thanks for any help.

EvaKool Australia
EvaKool Australia   DM

Hi Leroy, There is most likely a fault within your refrigeration system. If the fridge is still under warranty, you can take it to one of our service agents. You can find one here: external link . If you have any questions, you are most welcome to call our friendly team on 1300 385 665.
