Hi I have had my machine for 3 months now and have noticed an ongoing odour from the machine a damp smell .There is no water leaking underneath I checked. I wiped out the inside of the rubber seal with a spray detergent it was not dirty. We also let out the water from hose outlet on the right bottom of the machine. I have completed a drum clean today and that did help last time but I am not happy if this is an ongoing issue. What could be causing this? I use top quality Omo and believe I am using enough detergent .

Having the door closed when not in use will cause this your door should be left ajar, this also applies to dishwashers. All detergents cause a build up and using a washer machine cleaner is recommended on a regular basis. Check for Magic brand - best in the market, we know we run a laundry.

Im finding strange oil stains over near-new clothes, there coming up a with a dull grey colour. I've only had my machine for 4 months. Is there oil in the actual machine?

I'd say it has greased parts however I've never had this happen with any of my F&P washing machines. As it's only 4 months old I would call F&P customer service number and speak to them.

I am finding that my machine doesn't spin towels very well - they are heavy to hang and feel like cardboard when they dry. Has anyone else had a problem like that with this machine? I always spin on the highest speed. I am hesitant to get a technician out, as if they say there is nothing wrong with the machine I have to pay $130! Very disappointed, as I have always had F & P products and been extremely happy with them.

sounds very odd, on the highest speed our towels come out almost dry! If your towels are feeling like cardboard it's highly likely that they have a buildup of fabric softener or residue from those wax dryer sheets (if you ever use them). Do you use fabric softener? Does the machine make any noise or move when it is on spin cycle? if so it may be worth checking it is properly level as the machine will shut off if it's not level and it will not complete the cycle ;)

A neat trick to bring your towels back to like can be found here: external link

We have had machine now for 1 week and I'm also finding clothes are coming out quite damp on highest spin setting. Bit worried how long things will take to dry come winter!
