VerifiedMPNs: 453 and 454I bought the gdh chronos and when registering the product when I type in the date code it comes up as platinum infinity rather than ghd chronos. I paid for chronos (more expensive than platinum). Is this normal, has anyone registered their chronos and had the same issue? appreciate any feedback
I just bought myself a platinum plus and it is giving off a burning smell. Do I have to break it in a bit or is mine faulty? Someone please help lol
I have a new platinum+. When it arrived and I turned it on, it had a strong burning smell. I wondered if that was just because it was new? I turned it off and after washing and drying my hair today, turned it on and again a strong burning smell. Is this normal?

Hi I have had my ghds for a couple of months and all of a sudden they are flashing red and won’t stop beeping what should I do?
They should have a 12 month warranty I believe, mine did. I would contact the company
They actually have a 2 year warranty on their stylers. Same thing just happened to mine and I contacted them they told me how to ship to them and they sent me a new one 3 days later. you will need to send a copy of your receipt.
Mine first one died after 14 months. Replaced under warranty with refurbished iron that lasted 16 months. Both with same problem. Won’t pay that much for a flat iron that doesn’t last the warranty period.

Hi, brought my ghd in Gatwick airport around 4 years ago love them. Went to use them this morning they beeped and the the light kept flashing red. Can I get them repaired or do I need to buy new ones?
The Platinum range is non repairable........unfortunately.

My GHD Platinum+white is flashing red, making a weird noise and not heating up. I see from this forum this has happened to a lot of people with the platinum hair styler. The same thing happened with my a previous platinum's about two years ago and I got them replaced. I can't believe this has happened again!! Does anyone have any knowledge of why this keeps happening?
Hi Jilly Unfortunately, I do not have the platinum, I have the GHD gold, and so far am very impressed. My suggestion is return to your place of purchase and demand a refund. Should they not come good with the refund, tell them you will be taking the matter to the ACCC and I am sure they will refund your money.
My only suggestion is try the GHD gold as I wrote I am very happy, but be assured I have only had it a couple of months.
