Superb build from start to finish – We were initially in contact with our New Home Consultant when we were living in Sydney prior to moving to Junee in regard to possibly building with GJ. couldn't decide what was right for the land size. Met with our Consultant who was extremely thorough in showing us which home designs would work on our flat block and what exactly we were wanting out of a home design in the way of number of bedrooms, butlers pantry, al fresco etc. She put together some quotes and before you know it we had settled on a modified Fernbank 242 which was just perfect for us. Contracts were signed and colour selections took place fairly quickly.

The build commenced approximately end of November with excavation and there were several site visits initially to go over the build, all handled extremely well by our Site Supervisor. Even though we were novices to the whole game, everyone was excellent in explaining things in "plan English". As the build progressed to Christmas our Site Supervisor changed. The only hold up we had throughout the build was the windows and doors delivery which put us back around a month but lots of other things were happening in the background.

We progressed through the build on time and the Site Supervisors were very good with modifications made and slight variations done. Any issues with the build were sorted very quickly. Any time we had questions or needed anything explained everyone was very helpful to deal with. We had a period of time after lock-up that things slowed down enormously for a period of around 6 weeks which was very frustrating but that was par for the course as we were ahead of time by this stage.

Our costings were fixed price thankfully so there were no surprises there.

Overall, the build was completed and handover at the beginning of August so a total build of 36 weeks.

email and video calls, the build process being well handled by our construction manager, who kept us informed with regular video calls and emailed photos, and the completion and handover process being timed to match our return. Everyone in the Wagga office was friendly, helpful and professional throughout, and the final product more than meets our expectations. The build quality is excellent, and the maintenance list was minimal and was dealt with promptly. We're extremely happy with our new home and we'd be happy to recommend GJ Gardner Wagga.

Love my beautiful home – Our build was well managed and our foreman very approachable. early in our build and once this happened we were able to build a working relationship with good communication. We were allocated a new foreman Workman ship and quality is excellent. Nil issues related to the build. Post construction - Vinyl flooring is lifting in many places. Storm water pipes/drains need to be cut level with ground so heavy rain can drain away from house. Throughout the many huge obstructions thrown at us by lending institutions, valuers and local government departments GJG staff and management dedicated so much energy, time and pure effort to drive this small house concept to a bricks and mortar home- in a nut shell they never gave up! Acting always in our interest.

We cannot stop praising the effort and professional way the project was managed - finishing well beyond time, From office administration to site supervision we were keep fully informed of the progress - they were honest and straight forward with all our discussions, site visits and with any issues should they arise.

Not once did we feel unattached to the project - both GJG management, staff and their contracted trades people all made us feel special and were obliging.

Upon completion we were handed over the keys to a quality home, offering value for money - well constructed, a workable floor plan thanks to the patience and input from numerous GJG staff and management and leaving us with the impression that we had certainly dealt with a family business not a corporation.
