Don't waste your time – If I could give no stars I would, [Name Removed] at GJ Gardener led us on from the get go, constantly giving excuses for delays due to new government requirements. There solution was to remove wardrobes, ducted air con and driveways for us to install later aswell as other key features of the home that was initially stated as a must during the initial consultation. We then found a local builder who provided a pool, a driveway, and all high end features we initially discussed with GJ for 50k Less the GJ gardeners final price. We highly recommend you do not use GJ Gardener and get a quote from a local builder as GJ set us back 6 months and after numerous attempts only ever received 2k back from them.

Gardner Noosa on the quality of work from the previous franchise owner. The change of ownership was not disclosed to us by GJ Gardner Noosa .We became aware of it when visiting the plumbing centre to do selections when the employee told us.

We were at the stage of signing the contract when we were informed it was to cost us $146,000 more for our build with adding nothing extra to our original quote. (Change of ownership) We then had to remove everything we wanted that was included in our first quote to get the price down to what we could afford.

We regret every day having proceeded with our build especially after the way our contract was presented to us. Not the standard format contract at all.

We could go into all the detail about the horror story build, however it would become a ten page rant. To summarise basically everything in the build was a nightmare and very stressful. The slab was poured to dimensions from old plans rather than final plans and was incorrect. Problems with the framing being done incorrectly and gutters, roofing, flashings and etc. etc. etc. The list goes on.

Handover was December 2023 and ten months later we are still in dispute over 193 square metres of luxury vinyl plank flooring which is defective. GJ Gardner Noosa, the flooring company and the manufacturer are all denying that it is faulty. At a cost of $2500 we engaged an expert senior flooring consultant from Melbourne to inspect the flooring and provide us with a report. His report clearly states that the flooring is defective and has also been laid incorrectly and not to minimum installation standards.

Not surprisingly, GJ Gardner Noosa are still disputing that there is any problem with the floor. We are now going to process this with the QBCC. We are obviously not the only ones to approach the QBCC regarding GJ Gardner Noosa.

Never again and we would hope that no one else will have to go through what we did.

From start to finish, the process was smooth and well organised, and far less stressful than we expected. The quality of the build is outstanding, and you can really see the attention to detail in the finished home. Everything feels solid, well thought out, and built to last.

One of the standout aspects for us was the timeliness. Our build was completed on schedule, which is especially impressive in the current building climate. It’s clear the team has strong project management and good coordination with trades, which made a big difference.

We also made changes to the stair design around three months out from completion, and the team handled this seamlessly. The final result has been executed perfectly and really adds to the overall feel of the home.

We decided about a month before handover that we wanted GJ Gardner to complete our custom fence as part of the build. Even with the short timeframe, they were able to pull everything together and get it done in a timely manner. There were a few issues along the way with what a third party had ordered and signed off on, but GJ Gardner took ownership of the situation, worked through it quickly, and ultimately delivered exactly what we had envisioned.

We also really appreciated how flexible and accommodating the team was. They took the time to understand what we wanted and worked with us to customise our home to suit our needs, without making the process feel complicated or overwhelming.

Overall, the professionalism, organisation, and quality workmanship really stood out. It’s easy to see why others highlight the build quality and smooth process in their reviews.

process involving the planning/preliminary stage with the sales & drafting team, along with the admin & contracts department, colour & fitout selection personell, through to the site supervisor driving the physical build, we found the entire experience to be a very seamless & professional journey.

Building a new house in this day & age can be a very daunting undertaking because you are constantly hearing of & reading about horror stories that are happening to a lot of people all over the country. Because of this we were very nervous when looking for a builder and were relieved to have a fully completed high quality house ahead of time & on contract price. There were very minimal tiny issues along the way of which were sorted with a no fuss approach quickly. Communication with the site supervisor every step of the way was absolutely top notch.
