Is the tape on the metal piece above the condenser bottle supposed to be there?

I just bought this from the good guys. Did 2 cycles and it’s stopped working. Not spinning at all.

1) I've checked the manual for this dryer and it says it needs to be installed on a concrete base. (My house has a timber subfloor anyway!). Also I want to install it stacked on top of my washing machine - I will use an antivibration mat. Has anyone done the same? 2) Also, in the manual it specifies 10cm clearance to sides and top of dryer and 5cm to the rear. I want to install it within cabinetry for aesthetics. It will look stupid with those gaps around it. I've looked at the manuals for other heat pump dryers and these requirements are not specified. Has anyone put their Hisense heat pump dryer into cabinetry?

I put mine on top of washing machine and it was ok . The only thing I wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy this brand as soon as warranty run out it packed up ..

What’s the best setting for a full load of towels .... seem to be still wet after 90’ dry

Using the 90 min drying option, red lights don't show up at end as per the booklet. So, I don't know when it has finished drying.

Embarrassed to say , I accidentally worked it out. There was a strip of plastic over the display , so I couldn't see the lights below. stripped off the plastic covering, and all is good. It doesn't mention this display strip covering any where in the instructions . May be worth it for Hisense to add this step in when first using the dryer. Thank you for all replies.
