The drive belt is broken on my 30m .I have ordered and received a new one so how can I remove the casings and put the new one on!
I have 4 Holman 30 metre hoses , they lasted about 3 years and only retract 80 % leaving a long length out . Seems a common problem, and not good for this product reputation. What can be done ?
Are there instructions on how to replace the belt for the hose guide mechanism?
Has anyone had issues with the on the reel has come apart at the part where the rode goes through to mount to wall?
The white hose guide has come off and can see where it goes but can't get it on. Do I have to take whole thing apart
Hi, can tell me where to look on the hose reel to determine if the reel is still within its warranty period (i've lost my receipt)? The retraction mechanism has failed and I would like to get the unit replaced via Bunnings.

Is the line feed belt replaceable?. It has stripped the teeth and slipped off the drive mechanism

Why wife said she heard a cracking sound coming from inside the hose real. The hose will no longer retract and I assume the spring is broken. How do I check this and replace the spring if this is the case
Hi Dale, a similar thing happened to mine. As far as I could find out it cannot be repaired, I did however contact Holman and they arranged for a replacement. Mine was under 12 months old.
How do you replace a broken belt that drives the even distribution of hose on reel when retracting.

Our reel is less than two years old and rarely gets pulled out to 20m yet now, it won't fully retract. From Bunnings but as you do, I can't find the receipt. Can I re-tension or do I toss it on the bin and buy a different brand?
why won't hose lock in position when retracted

Hose wont retract I think the spring broke cant open to see
Unfortunately the manufacturer, Holman says "Do not dismantle the Hose Reel for additional spare parts. Other internal metal parts can cause injury if tampered with. These parts are not available for replacement." Check your receipt for warranty service. Good luck.
My Holman 30 hose reel has lost it's spring because the hose was pulled out to far. Is there a way to fix this
my holman hose is fairly new - the layering spindle no ,onger operstes and therefore the hose just bunches when retracting how can this be fixed??
Is it still under warranty? If so, it sounds like it needs a new spindle/corkscrew shaft.

The hose in our reel is so incredibly difficult for my wife to pull out (I’m partially disabled). What lubricant can we use to make it easier? Nothing appears to broken.
Hi Robert, there is a spot to spray a little crc at the top but by design, generally they are stiff to pull out due to the spring tension required to fully wing it back in
Can a new better quality hose be safely fitted to the Holman 1130H (30 Metre)

I have a Holman 30 retractable.The ta- turned on no water is flowing through the hose.I have pulled the full length of the hose out and checked there are zero kinks nor observable blockages.Checked rap and water is on but nut not flowing Seems therefore it is in the internal workings which may be blocked that I can’t get to
1. check if water come out from the tap by turn it on/off. 2. check the joint between the hose reel and the tap to see if there is any blockage. 3. check the section between the tap and the hose reel to see if there is any blockage in that section. You need to open the side cover to get to the joint.
BTW have a look to see if there is any water leakge when the tap is on.
Also make sure there is no other swith on the tap that you didn't switched on.
If you take off the hose fittings you will more than likely find that the black inner hose lining has separated and the fibres are blocking the flow. I just logged a complaint about that a few moments ago. My problem is I can't find my receipt. Only bought it about 3 months or so ago..Very expensive to find that the hose itself is crap.. What a total waste of money. A previous one I had developed a rewind problem and Bunnings recommended buying a Holman

Can not get to retract
Take it back and return under warranty.
Is it possible to retention the reel. My hose was fully unreeled and since only returns to about half way.
We're sorry to hear you are having problems with your retractable unit. While some parts in the units can be repaired or replaced, other parts such as the locking mechanism and internal spring are not serviceable - this is for safety reasons.
