build our home. We had a very seamless and stress-free build from start to finish. The admin staff are very responsive and nothing is ever a trouble for them. The site supervisors answered our never ending questions and offered some very knowledgeable advice during the build which helped to keep costs within the budget. Our build was completed before the estimated time frame and that is a testament to the planning and thoroughness by all staff and trades involved. We were updated at least once a week throughout the duration of our build and sent multiple progress photos. We have had multiple people comment on the workmanship of our home and the attention to detail that was given in all areas. We could not be happier with our first home and will be recommending anyone wanting to build a home in the Central West to consider Hotondo Homes Bathurst/Orange.

Macca and Davo were so great, and nothing was too much trouble. We’ve just had our 3 month defects inspection. There were only very small things to address and again, nothing was a problem. Macca and Dave were always willing to listen to our needs and accommodate our ideas on the build, also getting the landscaping levels pretty great for a typical sloping Bathurst site. Rain, COVID, material and trades shortages did not blow the build timeline out of the water. Even with delays because of Covid lockdowns and then construction materials scarcity, they managed to complete the build from the time they started to the designated finish date they specified.

With a few minor items that were missed by the tradies, I mentioned this to Gillian and it got addressed promptly.

My only issue was that I had planned to put up a retaining wall at the rear of the property after the build, but with the sudden massive rainfall that Bathurst received, most of the mud had been displaced. I only wish I had Hotondo homes put up the retaining wall prior to the build. I guess a lesson learnt for the next property.

Overall, the house build is lovely and I would recommend Bathurst Hotondo Homes to anyone interested in building their next home at Bathurst or Orange.
