We were initially drawn to Hotondo Homes South Coast because of the flexibility and customisation they offered. We were not seeking a standard outcome. Our vision was to create a modern architectural home that reflected our lifestyle, our environment and our family. From the earliest stages, it was evident that our ideas would not only be accommodated but genuinely supported.

Working with Adam Sturt throughout the process was a defining aspect of the experience. His communication was consistent, transparent and reassuring. We always felt informed and confident in the direction of the build. Adam demonstrated a rare combination of professionalism and authenticity. If he committed to an outcome, he delivered. On several occasions, he navigated complex challenges and time pressures to ensure progress remained aligned with our personal circumstances. His dedication enabled us to move into our home ahead of schedule, which was deeply meaningful to our family.

Our build included numerous variations and finishes beyond the standard specification. Each element was approached with a solutions-focused mindset. Nothing felt unachievable. Rather than encouraging compromise, Adam consistently advocated for achieving the highest possible standard. That commitment to excellence is evident in the finished product.

The quality of workmanship throughout the home is exceptional. Every finish has been executed with care and precision. The flexibility afforded during the design and construction phases has resulted in a residence that is not only architecturally refined but also highly functional for everyday living. The open plan living area, in particular, exemplifies this balance. It serves as the central gathering space of the home and reflects both our aesthetic vision and the way we live.

Site management and organisation were handled with professionalism. The site was maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, and trades were largely efficient and respectful of the overall outcome. Where minor concerns arose, they were addressed promptly to ensure the integrity of the build was upheld. Equally impressive has been the post-handover support. More than twelve months after completion, assistance remains readily available. Minor touch-ups and adjustments have been handled with the same level of care demonstrated during construction, reinforcing a long-term commitment to client satisfaction.

Building a home is often regarded as one of life’s more demanding undertakings. Our experience was instead characterised by trust, reassurance and a strong sense of partnership. We felt supported in our decisions and confident that the end result would reflect both our expectations and the builder’s standards.

Building a home is a stressful process with many decisions to be made and many problems to resolve. Hotondo proved to be a steady hand at the helm. They were always amenable to any concerns I had and were the first to identify any issue they felt was not up to the Hotondo standard - and have it corrected.

The workmanship and quality of the build is high, and although only recently completed there have been minimal defects identified.

At the start of the project Hotondo set out a payment plan. This did not alter throughout the entire build with the project maintaining the original budget allocation. The project was also delivered in a timely manner and ahead of the allotted construction program.
