We broke ground in May of 2024 and within six months our home was complete. We moved in and even though there were some small issues as expected, they were rectified.
We couldn’t be happier with our decision to build with Hotondo and would recommend them to anyone looking to build on the Mid North Coast.

home . Exceptional quality and an awesome build time. We made a lot of plan changes over the 18 months while waiting for the land to be finished and registered . Hotondo had everything ready to go to council as soon as the land was ours just so organised The whole build from site cut to handover was only 26 weeks just awesome on our 399m2 modified landsdowne with a 7m pool and a 12 x 14 shed /awning . Hotondo MNC were excellent so professional in every aspect of the build . Trish and Dean in the display are just brilliant they helped so much to design our home and make it exactly how we imagined , every time we met with them we had a laugh and felt like they really cared how our home design would finish up they listened to what we wanted . Then there’s Fiona well , she is the Queen and she is totally amazing going above and beyond to create our beautiful home and would have to be the best organiser for ordering , everything turned up when needed to be there so there was no hold ups between trades and always cared how our home would look at the end . Andrew (the builder/ site supervisor) is just awesome no question was a stupid question at our inspections and he always answered honestly and he always makes sure the trades are doing an exceptional job that matches his high standards in the build . It was 6 months from slab down to practical completion which is outstanding considering the crazy amount of rain we’ve had in the first half of the year, not to mention a flood!! The quality of the build is fabulous and they didn’t charge us any extra during the build.

transferred to the MNC Team where we initially spoke with Trish who was more than happy to chat with us. We had our eye on 2 blocks around the local area and Trish guided us in the right direction to purchase the property that was registered and ready to be built on. We're very thankful for this as our other option is still sitting vacant and not yet registered over 12 months later! Throughout this entire process, from the very beginning where we had the plan to build, we had been in touch with the broker. He had guided us to pay off our small debts and save that deposit!! We wouldn't have our beautiful home of it wasn't for him! We knew what our budget was which allowed us the choice of quiet a few plans. This was one of the hardest decisions for us! When we settled on one the team at Hotondo were very happy to make a few changes to make the layout our own! Dean went above and beyond at picking the best orientation and layout of our home on the block to utilise the sun to our advantage! Once we settled on the plans, we had a short wait with Port Macquarie Council. We checked regularly on line on the process of our submission which was great to see the progress. I met with Fiona and Belinda at the Hotondo design studio with Leanne Webber who is the interior designer. The 3 of us had the colour selections and designs picked out in no time. I'm sure they said that we were one of the quickest decision makers. And that's when it really started to feel real! We cut ground in May 23 and our build was complete in October 23!! We received almost weekly communication from the team and had regular site inspections. Nothing was ever a problem for beautiful Belinda whenever I had a question! Transparency was always at the forefront of communication, for finance, build stage dates, and minor delays. The communication really was of a high standard. The build quality of our home is fantastic and we will build with Hotondo again!! We regularly recommend Hotondo Homes Port Macquarie with good reason. Thank you, We love our Hotondo Home!

Some personal feedback for you:
I have had a few potential tenants come through the house over the past month. Many of them have been impressed with the layout of the house and colour selection. The master bedroom has been a talking point, being towards the back of the house, as has the ensuite (my favourite room) . Some have commented on the size of the backyard and how this was achieved through the design of the house and how it was placed on the block.
The best feedback I’ve had is the FLOW of the house. They loved all the bedroom lined up across with the front with no tricky hallways to negotiate. They were also impressed with window in the dining/living area, along with the big sliding door, allowing in that welcome summer breeze. Of course, the drive through garage was also popular. Its so lovely to hear that between us all we have created a truly functional and stylish home. Thank you thank you ✌️

first home builders it was stressful, however exciting experience building our forever home and if it wasn't for Hotondo Homes MNC we would be lost of where to start. Hotondo were very patient with us during the process and with our changes we made throughout the build.
• How was the workmanship and build quality of your property? Hotondo Homes MNC workmanship was to great standards. However no home is perfect as there are a few minor things which was expected due to timber shrinkage. Example scratches on entry door frame and a few dints/cracked paint. But again very minor. We are very proud of our new home and thank Hotondo for providing top quality materials and tradies to ensure our home is at top quality standards.
• If you had any issues pre, post, or during construction, how satisfied are you with how the company handled them?
Pre Build: Stage in itself was an overwhelming time for any individual or family. During this time goes a lot of planning to which layout of home, colour choices and logistics of land. However we found from start to end Hotondo team answered all of our questions, via email, text or call. Walked us through each step and provided us with approximate time frames. The team assisted us with picking the best layout for our lifestyle and family, whilst supporting us throughout our colour selections.
During Construction Stage: We found a bit challenging and found a brief lack of communication between staff. We found when we had made a request or had a question/inquiry it was sometime missed in communication which delayed contracts/construction at some parts. However once it was brought to Hotondo staff attention they were always polite and handled the situation well and ensured us it would be sorted. Hotondo provided us with plenty of sight visits and if we ever wanted more I am sure they would have provided if asked.
Post Build Stage: Has been exceptional, when we have required any documentation, or had any issues Hotondo have been good in regards to resolving our requests. We haven't had any manufacturing or major build damages that we have found. Due to some faults in regards to strinking timber and a few tiles cracked. Hotondo have been excellent to consult and deal with post build. Hotondo are currently in the process of resolving the errors we have sighted. So again we are very happy with our end product with Hotondo Homes MNC, and have been exceptional with fixing any manufacturing problems.
• How did your final cost compare to your estimated cost? The cost of our final home did go up due to the increase of products and labour from the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it was at a reasonable price and was not as shocking compared to other stories we have heard. We found Hotondo to be the best value for money, comparing quality, sizing/layout and turn the key options. From the estimated value of our home and adding extras and additions the costing of our home was great value. We found Hotondo to be very thorough with the site costings and investigations before build to ensure we weren't out of pocket. We found Hotondo communicated well with us and informed us of any incidents which would add additional costing to the final price example: needing to add extra power cable due to miscalculation of metres of cable. Hotondo Homes MNC have been a great company to work with and if we ever build again we would definitely choose Hotondo Homes MNC

company is very professionally run. Quality fixtures and products were offered at the selections meeting and there were different levels to choose from. I am very happy with my home and Hotondo experience and would 100% recommend them to anyone wanting to build their dream home.
