Ben, the site supervisor, does a fantastic job keeping things running smoothly. He’s easy to talk to, always happy to explain what’s happening on site, and quick to follow up on any questions we have, which puts our minds at ease.

Dealing directly with Brendan and Melanie has also been a big plus. Brendan’s carpentry background shows in the quality standards of the build.

Overall, the build is shaping up to be a beautiful, well‑built home. We feel confident our project is in very capable hands and can’t wait to see the finished result.

time and in the first six months or so we challenged the team to find us a plot of land appropriate for our wishes within a tight and competitive local market.

We moved to QLD and the Hotondo team immediately took us out to three plots they had identified, highly recommending one of them to us. Once the vision for the build was explained to us we committed to the purchase of the land and then got cracking on the design of the property. Throughout this phase, the team were extremely professional, but most important to us, never lost sight of what we wanted to finish with. Their New Homes Specialist was particularly flexible and understanding and gave us every opportunity to change and alter designs until we settled upon the final version - this was potentially a stressful experience, but turned out to be quite exciting and enjoyable.

Once in contract we enjoyed the security of fixed price and fixed schedule. This allowed us to time the sale of our previous property almost to the minute and once we got that moving it was incredibly beneficial for us that the Hotondo team actually completed the build a week early so we could move in and then clear out the sold property that weekend. Throughout the build we were kept fully involved and through several sight visits we were able to envisage the development of the house and allowed the convenience of making alterations as we progressed.

We have ended up with a truly wonderful house, finished to amazing high standards with quality workmanship and fittings as we requested throughout. We have no hesitation recommending this wonderful local builder to anyone and it is a true statement for us to say it was our absolute pleasure to be considered a part of this family and the family business.

She was thoughtfully stripped back to the frame and rebuilt top to bottom to stand proudly for another century.
