Beautiful house to live in – Had a wonderful experience with Hotondo. Professional and friendly staff to work with. House is beautiful and finished on time. Best Home Ever – House design Vida 238 Hotondo Jimboomba were on top of mostly everything during the build. frames are perfectly square this is a rare find and would be please to do work in more of these homes. Makes his job a lot easier. Everything has been finished to a high standard. Every contractor/worker that we have come in contact with on the project have been very polite and happy to discuss their work. There has never been an issue with access to the property during the build. We have been able to walk around take photos of the progression. We have been kept up to date with the costs, querying anything about the costs/invoices has been a pleasant task. The estimatation to final cost was right on the mark. Differently NO HIDDEN COSTS with Hotondo Jimboomba. Hotondo Jimboomba discussed and helped with some good suggestions example placing insulation in the exteral walls which has made such a difference to the inside temperature. Everyone at Hotondo Jimboomba have been lovely to deal with and made you feel very at ease. It has been a really good experience. I am someone that feels nothing is perfect in this world however I have to give top score to these people as there is not other way of explaining how good the job has been done.
Look no further for professional service and quality product – Building a new home in a state 2000kms away had its own issues but the team at Jimboomba were able to alleviate our fears through great communication and regular photo and video updates. Excellent service from the very start until the finish – Craig Bunning and Geoff Arnell from Hotondo Jimboomba managed the build from start to finish and Craig was very hands on completing a lot of smaller tasks himself. from some minor areas that needed touching up with the painting, the overall quality of workmanship and finish was excellent. Quite a few visitors have even commented favourably on the great finish. The final cost was very close to the original quote with the majority of the extra cost being for extras my wife and I had requested.

the right piece of land and made sure that it fit my budget. Making a full turn key package to my budget whilst including the land was a bit hard on their end im sure but they did it, they also spoke with my broker and made the liaison between them very smooth. Communication was good throughout the build and they were easy to talk to. From start to finish I was very stressed being my first home and lack of knowledge but they made the journey much easier for me. Once the build started I began to deal with my site manager who was in charge of the physical construction of my house. From start to finish it was smooth sailing with each hiccup being handled with immediate solutions. As a young first home owner I would definitely recommend them as it is a huge process and you want to be in safe hands.

builders, was turned away and told it was too late to get to a building contract by December 31 - which I knew I was pushing it real fine with time when I first enquired to Hotondo homes mid October but they went above and beyond to try accomodate this, offering me the opportunity. They got me to building contract in approximately 7 and a half weeks and made sure that I would get in for the Dec 31 building grant cut off - which I am ever so grateful for.
Not only were they friendly, welcoming and genuine they were happy to meet at alternate locations if it was more convenient for you, they were happy to meet at short notice and would go out of their way to accomodate what worked around your working hours. Communication via email has also been easy and efficient.
Although my first home hasn’t been built yet it is everything I could I ask for and dream of. All the extras I wanted I have been able to get with their help and knowledge. There have been no hidden costs, everything was explained to me well and I was given quotes for upgrade choices so I knew how much it would cost and given the choice if I wanted to proceed with them or not.
The colour selection was initially overwhelming but made easy as they were very patient and helpful. Again they were happy to go out of their way to give or find answers to any questions I had.
And timing, well again no disappointment there! I wasn’t in any hurry or expecting things to go fast but my build just kept coming forward and forward. Originally I was told the slab would aim to be down by the end of March. I was then pushed forward and told a start date of 24/2/21. And yet again pushed forward and they started on the 8/2/21. My land settled on the Friday and Monday morning they were cutting the block preparing for the slab stage. You couldn’t ask for any faster if you tried. They have been nothing but proficient and wanting to help. They keep me well updated - and they have their best interest for their clients. They reminded me to apply for the builders grant application before cut off, send me progress photos, even wished me a Merry Christmas and not to mention the beautiful Christmas hamper from Hotondo Homes that he personally dropped off over Christmas. It’s just the little things that are a bit more personal that make you feel like a valued client not just like just a number like you would in a bigger building company.
Don’t get me wrong - finding land, finance applications and dealing with banks and solicitors has been far from smooth sailing for me and very stressful but on behalf of the building side of things I couldn’t ask for anything better. They have made this part of the experience for me far from satisfactory and definitely has gone above and beyond. My decision to build a house was spontaneous and out of the blue but I feel very confident that I have made the right decision; which I did in less than 24 hours and looking back I wouldn’t even want to consider building with anyone else and without a doubt if I was to build again I would chose Hotondo Homes. So on that note I would highly recommend Hotondo Homes Jimboomba to anyone wanting to build! A big thank you to this amazing team - you all do an awesome job. I can’t wait to see my house be built and the final outcome.

design the rest of the process basically handled itself. We had our colour selection meeting and they were super helpful and provided us with a range of options but offered alot of guidance and insight to trends and product wear. The house has been constructed for about a year now and we have only one or two very minor things fixed i.e a wardrobe screw came out. These problems were sorted very quickly and promptly as our property has been tenanted since completion. Our slab has been constructed on blacksoil due to the area we live in (Kalbar) and we have received no cracking in any of the walls/foundations. We are aware other homes within the estate have started to crack already from poor quality builds. Our project manager was great, easy to communicate with, we had to re jig a bit of a wall and they made it happen without any fuss at all. The owner of the Jimboomba Hotondo also checked in with us to see how everything was going making it a very personal touch and showed they really cared about the quality of work they are completing. Overall the whole build process was very smooth considering some of the horror stories you hear. We can't fault Hotondos customer service at all. The build cost wasn't the cheapest but also wasn't the dearest however the major difference definitely lies within the customer service and how you are treated during the process. We are very happy with the finished product and love the home Hotondo has built for us. We would definitely build with Hotondo homes again.

I had 3 different supervisors throughout the build, which is fine but there seemed to be a lack of proper handover between supervisors. The practical completion was pushed back 3 times due to an appliance that wasn't available and some plastering work that had to be redone 3 times, however, this shows their attention to detail and making sure everything is 100% right and finished to a high standard. Overall, I am really happy with my new home and the final product and quality is excellent.

you to Donna Short who was always patient when it came to any changes I wanted to make. Everyone at Hotondo was super friendly, respectful and always willing to help. Even after handover Hotondo checks in and makes sure any faults are attended to in a timely manner. Workmanship and quality of the build is excellent and the site manager's were there to explain everything to me and make changes when needed. complained in writing, all [Name Removed] could do was point the finger at us and blame us. He couldn't bring himself to acknowledge that we were the customer and ended up treating us as if we were a nuisance.
Post leaving Hotondo, and going to the market we learnt a great deal about our past process with Hotondo. At least 2 point blank irrefutable lies were made, and compared to other builders insights, preparation and knowledge; where we originally thought [Name Removed] was great, we now learn that he was below average and lacking in preparation and understanding our needs. Just a pure comparison of Hotondo to other builders.
So disappointed to have to be writing this, but if our experience helps just one family chose an alternate builder that really listens to them and truly understands their position vs pretending to care and have a focus on taking their money only --> then we've achieved a positive outcome.
Please please. Before you sign a stage one contract with Hotondo, talk to at least 3 builders in depth and ask heaps and heaps of questions. Then make up your own mind.

actually care about clients as individuals unlike other companies, and they defiantly went above and beyond to help with any concerns we had. Pricing was great and in my range, their builders range was fantastic which means i didn't need to spend extra money to get nicer materials. Any issues i had were rectified almost immediately. Its been over 6 months in my new home and still loving it, and the staff members are still as friendly as they where during the build.
