Looking at the negative reviews on HP laptops, I am confused on choosing a mid level model of HP for basic use . Can someone advise on way forward for me? Regards SNN
The answer whether you want your laptop to be more software and hardware robust than all the others in its price range. At the risk of repeating myself, my HP Pavilion has survived 5 years of daily use, a monsoon in Thailand (and a repaired short circuit there), being stored in a hock-shop, and flown across the Australian continent. Its Word software has written two books and numerous articles, it has never had virus issues, and each evening it runs hours of YouTube with Bang & Olufsen audio. I have never encountered a more reliable laptop, and I have owned Dells, Toshibas and Lenovos (which conk-out after 2 years).

How long should my battery last per charge?
hi, I have a HP Pavilion 15-CS0055TX SLV NBK DNX, and am wondering how long the battery fully charged should last before going flat
Sorry I don't know. I try to use this computer as little as possible or I will smash it with a baseball bat.
G'day to you, I'm not familiar with your model. But I only get, if I'm lucky 2 hours of use. Ridiculous I must say for a brand new technology. Never again will I buy a HP anything.. Good luck, you'll need it.

i am looking to buy the hp 15-bw520au signature series. can anyone tell me asbout it?
Hi Anyone lese
I have bought a HP 15-BS084TU, it is so slow and takes forever to get going, freezes at times and does not open apps when you click on them or takes forever to open them. My Toshiba Satelite which is 10yrs old is working faster then this laptop. I have only had this since July and have only used it 5 or 6 times, bought it from JB HiFi. Anyone else having this problem? What do I do? I want to take it back.
Hi, sounds like the operating system is probably the issue. Have you contacted HP as it will be under warranty and they should be able to assist. It may be windows has stuffed up when updating, this happened to me. HP should be able to tell you.
Have the issues with WIFI connectivity resolved in the new version of the HP Pavilion 15 that uses windows 10? Would there be issues with using mobile broadband including for skype? Can you log into the laptop without going through the microsoft account? The above comments great notebook, pity about the operating system mention privacy issues with using the microsoft account.
Hi there No Issues haven't resolved with the laptop, we also have NBN on in our home now and that hasn't helped either, unfortunately since then my son purchased as ASUS about 5-6 months ago and he's experiencing the same. Its as if they have put cheap WIFI connectivity in these newer models my old Toshiba is running Windows 7 and picks up the wifi perfectly so I've gone back to using it. We have only upgraded the HP to windows 10at the moment we need to do the ASUS but waiting to see how it runs on the other first. I used SKYPE at Christmas on the old one but haven't tried on the new. This is the first laptop i've had to log in to, to open up I don't usually put a password on my laptops as they don't go far from home.
Thanks BEE
Unfortunately there are no issues resolved and that doesn't help if you use mobile connectivity, if you were like me, you would only have internet for less than ten minutes. I accidently got the Microsoft account to do that and I think you should go to settings and go to personalisation and lockscreen. Somewhere in the you can set it to be a local account/password (original account for the computer) and you'll probably need to create the password again. Just try and do whatever you can to avoid using your Microsoft account if it goes to personal like sign out and remove it from settings and email. If I were you I would get a dell, they have no probs and run like a dream
