Hi my ts 138 has been great for 3 yrs however today it want get off the mark. Forward or backwards, there is no grass build up, the belts are fine plenty of tension, I have changed the pil out and still no go, Is the static drive dead
Hi Warren, thank you for posting and sorry to hear you are having difficulties with your mower. If the belt is fine and there are no other obvious signs failure of damage, I can only suggest you have your local Husqvarna Dealer look at the mower.
Mower operates fine while going forward with blades engaged, but the engine cuts out when I put it in reverse to go backwards while cutting, can you advise??
Hi David, thank you for your question. Our Lawn Tractors will not operate in reverse with the blades on unless you select ROS (Reverse Operating System) on the ignition. This is a safety function of the mower. For further information - please refer to our website external link where you will be able to download a manual for your mower.
How many hours is to many for the ts138

I have the TS 138 reverse is fine, but when I push down to go forward the mower goes in reverse too, any help would be appreciated
Hi, it is hard to diagnose this issue without seeing the mower. All i can suggest is that you check that the linkages from the pedal are connected properly. If so, i suggest you contact your local Husqvarna dealer for assessment.
I have a ts 138 hausqvarna can you get a 10 ml space to lower the blade saw it cuts lower

Stopped TS-138 half ay through the mow. Went to start it again, wont turn over. There's an electrical sounding hum or whine when I turn the key, but not attempting to start like it usually does. Blade disengaged, foot brake depressed, like usual. Battery is 12.7V. Any ideas?

Hydrostatic forward/reverse pedal hard to engage for either direction. When I get it to engage it Still goes forward well but very slow in reverse

check that Fan blade on transmission pully is intact,then check oil level.
The baffle on the blade housing has fallen off twice now. The head of the bolts wears down. This has happened twice and this time got caught in the blades. Is this a general design problem?

I have tried to contact Husqvarna three times by phone and by email. By phone they put me through to an extension that rang out, and the emails they just ignored. I am a potential buyer and made this clear. Lack of interest before purchase does not fill my with confidence for how after purchase issues may be treated! I was trying to find out about warranty. I know it is 5 years, but does it have to be serviced by a dealer or can you do your own service and still be under warranty?
The cutting deck has movement from side to side which results in an uneven cut. How do I fix it?

check the hydrostatic transmission seal---you dont want to have to do a re-build--big $$$. A seal is cheaper but best done by a mower mechanic.

Hi The seal of the plastic gearbox came away and it spews grease over the back tyre, if I push the seal back in does that fix it ,or is there more to it. Thanks
Would this unit be ok for a 3 acre property ?
We have a TS138 which is ideal for our 1 acre property, but I would say a bigger machine would be more suitable for 3 acres. If you are buying a used one, steer clear of the ones with a Briggs and Stratton 500 motor as that particular motor has a common camshaft failure issue. Ours was fixed under warranty, but later models have a different motor. Apart from that, ours has performed well. We bought it new about 2 years ago.
