I have Hyundai i20 and I am facing the tapping sound from driver side mirror since I have completed folded it. Sound is not stopping even if I restored mirror while driving and even after stopping car. It sounds like ticking of gear and motor whirling. Any help?

Hi. I need your help.i bought a Hyundai i20 2015 model...using 95 petrol...recently experiencing loss of power especially on gear 3.can only drive on 2.took it in to Hyundai and they cleaned the cartridge.i drove for a month and the same problem started again.took it back in they told the stabilizer links has seized, input shaft deal & side shaft seal is leaking oil.now they talk about the clutch kit to be replaced.

It should still be under manufacturer's warranty if it's a 2015 model so keep taking it back to Hyundai until they sort it. You only need to use ULP91 in this car so don;t waste your money buying 95!

it is the rear seats, you just need to lube the locking mechanism and get rid of the noise...

Hi.

I have a Hyundai i20, bought brand new in march 2015. In the contract it says that I order a MY15. On the rego however it still says MY14, although the Hyundai dealer told me at the time it was a registration error and it definitely is a MY15. This because I noticed the discrepancy upon picking up the new car. This is obviously contract breach if it were a MY14, but how can I see at the car if it is a MY14 or MY15 ? Were there any modifications in these MY ?

I'm not sure.

Call the Tribunal.

The brand new car they sold me was a lemon which nearly killed us a few times. Our issue was mechanical.

When going up a step hill in my i20, it is hard get the automatic get up speed. Has anyone else had that problem?

I just tap the accelerator to kick it down a gear.

There is an override button on the side of the gear stick - press that and it allows you to get a bit more traction.

Have issues with electric in car..I think..my Hyundai 120 has repeatedly stopped, no electrics in the car which has been quite dangerous when it occurs while driving on the road. After a short period of time it seems to reset and can be restarted. Have had it to the local dealer twice already, first time was told a fuse needed replacement, second time that the battery was flat and needed to be recharged...hate to think what the third excuse will be.

Has anyone had similar experiences or any idea as to the possible problem?

Oh, and the other problem is that when the car is started, the radio has to be re-coded with the pin to function.

Hi there i had this same issue with my hyundai excel...Turned out to be the ignition barrel which was bouncing slightly and turning the ignition off. Not a good this when going over a train line. Had it to mechanics who said it was a sensor which i had replace at cost of $350. Drove around a corner the following day and bsm, it cut out. Stopped the car and restarted it but i must have jiggled the ignition which instantly turned the car off. Tested by restarting the car and moving the key about a a millimeter and ignition turned off. Took it back to mechanics who replaced barrel for $58. Problem was solved...

I bought 2013 i20 but it came with only one key. I was quoted $ 350 for a 2nd key. Can an " ordinary " key be cut? I only need it to open & close and start engine if I lose the original.

A 2nd key is worth the 350 many people decide not to get a second key, however if you lose the original aswell, it will then be well over a 1000 as it then has to be re keyed, also you would have a car that cannot be driven at all.
