our ILVE microwave is only 2.5 years old and the door dosent always open without adjusting it and now the confirm/ start button has completely fallen out of the cavity... what are the company prepared to do for us, it is the worst appliance we have ever had for faults.... Thankyou Gayle Ray

I have the same problem as Jan L mentioned 2 years ago. Is it possible for us to replace/fix the start button ourself without calling service? Please advice. Thanks.

Unfortunately now the button has now given way more and will not start the microwave at all. It is disappointing to find this problem in a button! Never in 40 years of using different brands eg LG, Panasonic etc have we ever had a problem with buttons!"

As with multiple other people here my microwave has the cooking pot and diamond icon flashing and is unresponsive other than being able to change the cook time. The main board/display panel were already replaced within the last year after working intermittently since purchase. I have power cycled it at the switchboard does anyone have any suggestions for fixing or drop in NON-ilve replacements.

Cannot get my IV600FBI microwave to do anything. The cooking pot and diamond sign are flashing and I can’t get them off. Had so much trouble with this microwave and nothing useful in the manual. The buttons are non responsive.

The buttons became non-responsive after 9 months. Ilve replaced with a new one not interested in looking to repair it. Initially pleased with receiving a new microwave only for the exact same issue to occur 9 months later. Not a single button responds.

Now Ilve say it’s out of warranty and won’t help. But all they did when it was in warranty was send another faulty product.

I don’t expect microwaves to last forever but this is laughable. Buyer beware.

I have the Ilve IV602BIM. I can home from work one day to find it was it had turned itself on (plate spinning/light on etc). Despite pressing Stop/Cancel, the cycle would not stop. The only way to stop it was by opening the microwave door. Every time I close the door though, it just resumes the same cycle? I have pressed all combinations of buttons but nothing seems to cancel whatever cycle it seems to be stuck in. I've even isolated the power from the trip switch. However, even when I reconnect the power and close the door again, it resumes the same cycle! Anybody had this? Can anybody help?

We have had our microwave for 4 years in a new house build, and it let's out a high pitched noise when not in use, once the clock and it has gone into 'saver mode.' It is highly irritating and only stops when a button is pushed or door is open. Is there a permanent way of stopping this?

James, built-in microwaves tend to be lower power than freestanding units. This unit has a rated power of 800W which is at the lower end of the spectrum and as a result it will take a littel longer. ILVE customer care

Sorry but I don't buy that excuse as my old microwave was 750w. And I've seen different brand built in at a friend's that doesn't have the same issue. It's just under powered and it seems plenty of people are having the same issue

I have IV600BIM which came with the apartment we bought. It would be about 6 or 7 years old. The microwave hasn't been well maintained by the previous owners, which makes me a bit concerned about potential leakage. I'm looking at replacing it and noted that there is a similar model IV602BIM, however its dimensions are a bit different. How can we remove the old microwave to check the actual size of the cavity before we decide on the purchase?

Ana, when youopen the microwave door you'll see a black plastci plug. When you remove that plug, you ll see a screw that holds the unit in place. Unscrew that and the unit should be able to be pulled out. ILVE Customer Care

Our Ilve microwave door doesn't open. Whilst it's outside the warranty period, it's built into the cabinetry and difficult to remove. Does anyone have any suggestions in how to fix this problem.
