Does anybody know if you can dismantle the KB5 to check for blockage? I can't find any screws to undo, and although it's fully charged, it will not work. The green light comes on for an instant then immediately goes flashing red. Contacted a retailer on the Gold Coast, who said it probably has a blockage and that repair would cost more than the product. I'm a bit old school, and I don't like to throw things away if I might be able to fix it.

Scratch that! I downloaded the manual and found out how to pull out the brush. Cleaned it. Worked! Sorted!

Was just about to suggest that.

Can the battery be replaced?

It's not "user" replaceable, but like many things, I'm sure the KB5 could be dismantled and the battery sourced from eBay. BTW, mine has been fine for over 2 years. I occasionally drain it till the low battery indicator has been on for a few minutes, and I don't leave it connected to the charger all the time. I disconnect it soon after charging. Hopefully I'll get another couple of years out of it. Then I have a spare boxed KB5 in storage I give a quick charge every year or so.

I have 2 KB5s and neither one will charge now. There has always been an issue with the charging but, I'm hoping there is something you can suggest to try. Thanks John

Can you leave the k5 on charge when not in use?

Hi Kerryrn, I leave my KB5 plugged into charger when not in use, so I always know it has good power when I want to use it.
