Have Karcher issued a new (Stronger) Hose for the 3.5 Premium Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner? The Vacuum works well but the Hose is Weak & Crimps at the Machine End 'when Heavy Vacuuming, causing the motor to work harder than necessary.

Hi I have been the owner of Karcher WD2 Premium for the last 4 years. Recently, it started an issue with intermittent stopping of the machine. Now the machine does not work when the power line is connected. What may be the probable cause? How do I get this repaired? Any place in Canberra

The automatic power start outlet on my Karcher WD6 has stopped working. Using the WD6 for dust extraction from power tools was the main reason for choosing this model? Is it fused? Is there a fix? In total the auto power outlet had only been used for around 30 minutes when it stopped working and always within wattage parameters.

My wd3 is spitting water out the blower, covering the floor, whilst I suck up water. The container isn’t anywhere near full, I don’t accidentally have the dry vacuum bag attached. Container is free of any clogging pieces, and I am now cleaning the foam filter (but no big grit etc elements in there). Thoughts on reason and solution?

Hi Louise, the 3.5 model does have a blower, so I suggest you get this rather than the 4 model if you want this feature.

Karcher WD6: can it be used as a bagless system or alternatively are compostable bags available?

charles

I did ask the same question 12 months ago ? your service sucks ? my wet and dry vacuum blows out what it sucks up ? what it sucks up comes straight out

Alz
Alz

Do you have the filter fitted in the container, if so I expect it has a hole in it or you don't have the retainer nut fitted on the filter base. Its pretty fine and will stop what you are sucking up blowing out. If your dust is fine like plaster then use a bag. Its preferable to use a bag for all dry vacuuming. You can buy a pre filter sock from Bunnings to go over the paper filter to make it last longer and both are washable. I use mine to vacuum very dusty spouting and use bags and a prefilter and have no issues. Hope that helps.

Why is it so loud and it blows dust out

Karcher now don’t offer refund for their inferior junk. Their new policy is warranty repair so you cannot return it for a refund from place of purchase. They will only try to repair the heap Of junk so you are stuck with it. What a waste of money. Never ever buy this brand again.

When do you need to use a bag? Are they reusable? WD 6

Mark van Hees
Mark van Hees

Hi Guys, you get a bag with it and I use it every time I use the vacuum cleaner. I’ve also bought refill ones on eBay for pretty cheap. They last quite a while and you can reuse them if they aren’t filled with anything too bad. You could probably get away with not using a bag but I haven’t tried this.
