The units have a lack of "feet" and are front heavy - so they roll over forward without hesitating.... This in part, is responsible for to the port, by the cable. And the plug set in the back, when I tried to plug in a 24/7 power supply, the plug inside the unit, simply broke off and now rattles around the inside.

The only solution is to split the cases and sodder the components back into place, or mount some USB connector, either externally or internally, and run a connection to the circuit board from that.

Or you can complain to Kmart AND don't just get them replaced, but get them replaced with STRONGLY bonded connectors, to the circuit board, AND get the FIXED units, air freighted to Australia at their expense., and if they try to brush you off, take them to the small claims tribunal.

That is a way to fight this crap with Kmart. The MORONS should be testing their products before they put them to market.

I figured out that this style of workmanship, is planned obselescence, so once the crappy ports break loose, you either throw them out, take them back and get a refund or get them replaced with an equally crappy unit.

I am so tired of this crap...

With mine, I like it, but I bought a 2 meter USB cable, and I ran it down the back, underneath and through the handle, and with some slack in the cable, I zip tied it to the handle, so to allow strain to pull the cable as attached to the handle, instead of the poor quality USB port.

The USB port is plugged in all the time to keep the battery charged, and it's sitting there ready to be used...

I too am FED UP with poor designs.

But in terms of a cheap sound source for Blue Tooth, it's still pretty good.

However if you buy Kmarts "The Great Anko Brand" - just understand that their low prices tend to reflect that much of what they sell is indeed crap... with low price and a low build quality, rather than an excellent range of products, with a low retail price.

I’ve got no answer to help you, but having a similar problem myself. Mine will charge, but won’t turn on. Also got for Xmas- no receipt and no box due to throwing it away as I didn’t expect it to not work. *facepalm*. Would love to hear if and when you solve your problem! Maybe someone will know how to reset and then it’ll work for the both of us!
