I recently bought a Korojo travel jug and it blew the fuses several times and I had to send it back. I noticed on the bottom of the jug there was 230 volt. My friend had one for more than 10 years and says it is great - but her jug has 240 volt on the bottom. Australian voltage is 240 volt not 230 volt. Would that be the problem, or was it a faulty jug? I wanted a replacement jug but the supplier preferred to give me a refund. JAD

Hi, This answer is courtesy of Eric Statford as I am simply a tea lover not an electrical whiz - "Generally, any 220v appliance is safe to use at 240v. There will be a fractional increase in performance of electric motors for instance, as 240 volts falls into the 60 Hz range -screw a generator’s speed from 220 volts out put to 240 volts, measure the frequency and you have gained 10 Hz. Therefore any time clocking would gain a few seconds every day, but nothing much to write home about." I have used mine in many countries for decades no problems. I would get another from a different lot so if it was a manufacturing issue it won't be likely to suffer the same fate. Cheers Anne

Thanks Anne, I did ask for a replacement, but they said they had tried it on their power point and it worked and said it must be the wiring where I lived and said they would provide a refund. I had a spare jug and it worked so I can't see that it is the wiring. I had been told that a 230 volt jug would work on 240 volt. It is a shame because I really wanted that jug after seeing my friends. Thank you for taking the time to respond. JAD

Hi, From the pics, I can't get a feel for how big this jug is. Can someone help?

Thanks

I'm not tired or angry by the way. I don't know where that came from.

The jug looks a bit bigger than what it holds due to the water line and cups. It holds 350ml of water the cups hold (literally) a cup. The last thing you need is something too big. I have had mine since the mid 80's, so it's reliable. What more can I say? AFM
