Have a 2019 Leader Gold Family LE. Hoping to use gas hot water and gas hobs on stove while free camping. Have filled gas bottles, turned on bottle, moved yellow thingy on front of van between gas bottles. So far have not been able to light hobs. Lighting contraption clicks when pressed, but hob does not light. Is there another button or switch i need to turn on or flick for hobs to light. I have not tried HWS as yet. Thank you
How do I get to the back of the hot water system
I have a 2016 Leader Gold 21ft. When I turn the water on to the front outlet at caravan park, the water runs out the overflow of hot water system.
Would someone be able to tell us how to access the back of gas hot water tank. Is it through a cupboard or something else. Been told to lift the tank up as the rivits have broken. Cheers
Where is the 12v isolater switch in a 18 ft gold leader
its an answer rather than a question . had ongoing issues with cold water to shower and sink , no one could fix it Bensons caravans had no idea as everything checked out as ok . what i found was the line to the external shower was on and the shower head pressurized. as soon as i closed the two taps and drained the shower head , we had hot waters back on to the van . the van spent weeks at Bensons until i took it home , so just be aware of this . hope this helps someone

I have a 2020 Leader Gold 20 ft, can the gas hot water service be lady on all the time, or should it be only turned on when in use?
Hi there, personally I turn the HWS switch off when not in use. Turn off power in cabinet beside bed and turn off gas switch in control cupboard, hope that helps Cheers
I generally turn my hot water off after use as it is relatively quick to reheat when required.The only time I leave it run through the night is when I run my swift ecotherm heater which required the hot water service to operate.
Have just bought a 2017 leader gold and in the right side cupboard next to bed is a plug with a lead init but previous owner didn:t know what it is for . He thoght it was some sought of isolator switch ,can anyone help me out thanks??
Hi , this would be a power lead for the Hot water service, which is generally located behind this cupboard... hope this helps

You will find that there is a dedicated power outlet in that cupboard that is controlled by the hot water switch in the solar regulator cupboard The lead is for the hot water system 240 volt element. Make sure that there is water in the hot water system before turning on otherwise you will cook the element
My wife and I own a 19.6 leader gold have had issues with batteries not holding power after one day of road connected extra 120w portable solar panel and pumped up the voltage the batteries hold 12.4vlts and slowly drain during evening to 11.5 then the pump stops working and the lights start flickering, has anybody else had this problem? Already replaced two batteries on warranty. Unfortunately warranty has expired and no return calls from dealer.
12.4 is not full charge.. Should be 12.8-13.0..

Hi! We have a different set up but also a Leader Gold. We have been travelling 7 months now with our kids, taken the van off road plenty of times and not had any problems so far
I have a leader gold 19 ft 6 inch semi off road caravan fitted with alco off road suspension. I purchased the van new in February 2017 and have travelled 25 ,000kls . I have had no major problems with the van and am extremely happy with it.I find it a dream to tow with my landcruiser.I would have no hesitation in recommending a Leader.
What hieght from the ground up to and including Dometic air con?.
3.3m to top of dometic air con . this includes two inch raiser on chassis

No the roof does not enough support in it to support a persons weight. We use an extension broom to wash our roof.
has anyone purchased a leader palladium 22' bunk van? Any issues?
I can not comment on the 22' van but Leader's quality is very good on the surface. Just make a very close inspection of the underside, roof joints and payload limits.
We have a Leader gold, the only real issue is its hard to close the door as its not fitted correctly. I will be getting it fixed at the next service but unfortunately its out of warranty, apart from this it seems well made and in many areas it very well made and well finished.We have yet to find a van we would swap it for.
