LG 8kg Heat Pump Dryer TD-H803CSW Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 18003, DVH5-08W, DVH508W and TD-H803CSWI love the concept of the heat pump dryer but LG really didn’t do their research. Sheets end up like tight footballs from single spin rotation. Dry on the outside and wet in the centre. Endless untangling every 15 minutes. One star is one too many. I want my money back! I’d love an LG rep to get in touch. Chris 0400 888 448.
I've noticed my TD-H803CSW model dryer makes a knocking sound for the entire drying cycle. The dryer is just over 2.5 years old. Appreciate if you can advise how to have this corrected as the noise goes through the house. Thanks.. Peter
Have u tried making sure it’s balanced if not I’d be calling manufacturers as they should be able to help
Hi Regina, thank you for the prompt response, I have no idea how to rebalance the dryer. However I will read up on it today. Peter
How do you clean this dryer? We had an LG condenser dryer prior to this heat pump model and could clean the removable finned radiator. This dryer only has two removable filters but they don’t capture everything so how can an owner ensure they are not breeding a potential fire trap in the internals of the dryer?
Michael, that was one of my concerns too, in the long run , lint would build up in the front unaccessible part of the machine, below two removable filters, and I too, thought this again was a problem. I see most other Heat Pump dryers are able to be accessed here and cleaned. I got a full refund for this model, returning it, as was not at all impressed with its inability to dry bedding, ie no reverse tumble and knotting items up. Glad to get shot of it. Big expensive waste of money.
I have the LG DVH5-08W model and keep shrinking my clothes! Can anyone help me work out how to use cool air. I can’t afford to keep replacing clothes!
I have the same question as Domino. Apparently the old LG TD-H802SJW only tumbles one direction and all bigger garments like all sheets and towels get tangled up and never get dry.
Does the new TD-H803CSW tumble in both directions?
you should try setting cotton 'high' mode. it dries everything. Also I do towels, bedsheets as one lot & other clothes separately.
Hi, It only goes one way but I haven’t had the same trouble as with my older model. I have dried sheets, doona covers and doonas with no problems with rolling or damp patches,so far I can’t fault it at all...hope this helps
It only goes one way. If you dry large sheets or donna covers with smaller items then the smaller items will get trapped in the sheets/covers. When I have just dried the larger items by themselves I haven't had any issues with balling etc. I usually open it once half way through to make sure it's drying properly but when I haven't done that it has still dried all the way through. One issue I can see now that I've had it for longer is that there is no real way to clean beneath the two lint filters. They are easy to clean but the reservoir beneath that is nearly impossible to get into but damp lint sits at the bottom which is a bit frustrating and I don't know how much this will be a problem over time.
It only tumbles in 1 direction.. Pity, I'll buy a different brand/model then, thanks for the advice. Hear that LG? I'm not alone I'm sure.
I am having this issue, any sheets or doona covers gets rolled into a tight ball and stays damp. :(
does the new model TD-H803csw spin in both directions this oversight seems to be the biggest issue with the previous model
