Hello, we have just bought a first-hand LG Thinq WV5-1275W. On the Cotton cycle, with cold water, it takes 2hours 20 minutes to run this cycle. Our Hoover took 56 minutes for the same cycle. No information in manual to change the time for this cycle. What to do?
Has anybody had problems with the inlet valve leaking?
Can I just use cold water with this machine? the specs say: Notes Requires Hot and Cold Water Connections. Does that mean some programs are hot water only? I find this really confusing. I only want to use cold water and should have that option. I look forward to hearing from someone.
Washer heats it's own water if you don't have the hot water inlet connected.
I have connected my LG 1275w washing to hot and cold inlet taps. My hot is heated by gas. Id like to know if the machine uses this hot inlet or takes it purely from the cold supply and heats it. It's really slack that this info isn't made clear or is hard to find. If the machine heats the water can I turn off the hot inlet?
Yes you can turn off the hot inlet - put a cap over it. It is there for the option if you have a cheaper hot water supply ie solar

Turn power on for washing machine and blows circuit fuse straight away ,not even a year old purchased 22 july 2022
Oh my gosh that isn’t good. An electrician could help you, it is maybe the plug/socket?

hello i have solar hot water if i want to do a hotter wash will it heat cold water or heat my supplied hot water to a hotter temperature thanks.
It will heat to the temperature you choose to set.
Is there any way you can do a wash and soak with this machine?
There is a pre wash button which is used for soaking before wash. I am yet to try it. I might try it in two days. I hope this helps.
Jay must have a different model to me (WV5-1409W) - NO pre-wash or soak washing programmes available.
I have a WV5-1409W and the Pre-wash button is between Rinse and Delay End
Has anyone had problem with setting the delay end function - have just found that mine beeps but no visual feedback that it has adjusted the end time so pot luck if it will wash over-night.

How long does this machine take to complete a cottons cycle? ie not on the fast wash option.
wondering why the machine stopped after the rinse cycle, the item was queen size doona cover and 32 minutes still showing for completion, I waited 40 mins hoping for the machine to adjust itself and it did not happen, so removed the soaking wet cover to hang outside. this is the 2nd time it has happened.
I've also had this problem and now it won't turn on at all. Did you figure out why it was happening?
Similar problem here; the machine is unable to get past certain points in a cycle. Currently it is in a loop with 33 minutes remaining, previously 7 minutes, before that 55.... and so on. It still "works" during this glitch- the drum turns, the heater keeps the water hot, pump still functions but it just keeps living out its favourite minute :/
Can you do a spin only cycle with this machine The instructions talk about a spin button but I can’t find a spin button anywhere
Spin only is available as a download cycle if you are Wi-Fi connected

My machine has hoses connected to hot and cold supply, so my guess is it doesn't. Best to double checkwith manufacturer.

I brought this machine without fully understanding what I getting myself into. I typically wash on a cold water cycle only. Just to clarify - I am assuming that the lengthy steam cycles require using hot water?
No, the washer has a internal heater so the hot water inlet can be left unconnected without any loss of function
