Madimack GT Freedom Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a 8x4m rectangular fibreglass pool. Is the i30 a sufficient model? Cheers nick
To be perfectly blunt Nick, stay well away from any battery powered cleaning service, whether it's for a pool or otherwise. They simply do not have the guts, especially if your pool gets dirty quickly, because if the battery runs out, you have to wait several hours for a recharge, whereas a corded or vacuum, you can do another run straight away. If you have a power source nearby look into a Zodiac 4x4 unit for your size pool or run a Kreepy Krawly or similar.
There seems a few reviews saying it won’t climb up a sloping pool. My pool is new but doesn’t have a flat bottom. Will it work effectively and will it clean bench and steps
Hello I brought a madimack i45 Robotic vacuum for my fibreglass pool in September 2024,I am very happy with the way it cleans my pool , the only problem I am having is when I retrieve it from the pool lifting it out with the hook provided which is attached to my telescopic pole as the water is running out the back of vacuum it is also loosing some of the debris that it has in its basket,so it means that my clean pool now has debris back in it .I have tried to lift it out more level so it is not leaning back towards the bottom of the pool but that doesn’t help either. So I was wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem if so what did they do to solve it .Cheers Wendy from SAN Remo NSW
Hi Wendy I don’t have that problem at all. Maybe raise a ticket with Medimack I found them very helpful, they replaced my loose tracks. Just google their website and go from there . Good luck
Hi Wendy, Thanks for your question, It may happen sometimes when the basket is really full & or the filter is clogged with fine debris or algae. 2 things to try. 1. Clear the basket more frequently 2. Make sure the basket filter is cleared throughly (fine grit & Algae) as this will improve the performance of your Madimack GT freedom. These step will surely help !! happy swimming.
The vacuum is only 3 weeks old I clean the filter out after each cycle it hasn’t got algae in it as I don’t leave it in the pool . There is definitely more than just a dirty filter basket wrong with it . I’m in the process of returning it and getting a refund as it’s not doing what I thought it would and I paid a lot of money for it. Thank you for your advice.
We just closed our pool....September 22 and won't be opening until next April. What should I do about putting the Madimack into storage? Charge it first?
Is this suitable for a fibreglass pool and will it climb the stairs and benches?
Thanks Krystal, Yes it works perfectly in Fibreglass pool, The width of the stairs & bench will be the main factor if the robot can reach those spots. Each pool is different but in most cases it will climb the bench & stairs.
Is the robot designed to stay in the pool between cycles for a Salt water chlorine pool. It would be a huge plus for me if I could set it on a 1hr cycle every 24 hours and then leave it in the pool all week. But this would be no good to me if such use would dramatically reduce the life of the robot. If it just caused corrosion on the rubber tracks and the brushes, how long should I expect the unit would last between replacing these parts, if I left it in the pool for a week at a time.
Got bored waiting for reply - went out and bought a Maytronics Liberty instead.
We purchased the Madimack GT i30 Cordless Cleaner on 31/12/2023, we had a Polaris corded pool cleaner for many years. We would put it in and within half an hour the pool would be clean. With this new unit the pool is not clean even after 3 hours, it seems to go over the leave and just scatter them on the bottom of the pool. We are not happy with the cleaner and now it is showing an error message and won't work at all. We would like a refund of this cleaner, please. Thanks Annette
Hello Annette - thank you for your message. I have reviewed our system and cannot identify a service ticket for you or your robot. Are you able to contact our customer support team via support@madimack.com or 1300 899 737.
Is the Madimack GT Freedom suitable for glass tiled pools? Will the basket trap fine particles? Our pool gets a fair bit of dust and we bought the optional finer basket for our current robot cleaner as the standard one didn’t catch the really fine stuff.
Hi Stewart. Thanks for your message. The Madimack GT Freedom is suitable to all types of pool including glass tiled pools. The standard filter cartridge will capture debris down to 180 microns. We do have a 100 micron filter, which provides for even finer debris. Your local retailer will be able to support your selection .
OK thanks for the speedy response!
Does it clean steps?
Hello Frank. Thanks for the message. The Madimack GT Freedom in most instances will clean steps. However, because all pool steps are of various dimensions and not built to a code, it's impossible to guarantee that any robotic cleaner will suit. If you call our customer service team, we can pair you up with a local retailer to take you through a demonstration in your pool. PH: 1300 899 737.
No Frank, unfortunately,it doesn’t clean steps. I have 4 steps on either side of our pool and cannot even climb the lowest of steps.
Will the freedom gt climb and clean stairs. Also, the pool is rectangle with a large square swim out toddler area about 300mm deep. Will it climb the wall and climb into the swim out? It's like a very large step.
The Madimack GT freedom performs well in irregular shaped pools, arguably the best in market. However like all robotic pool cleaners some shallow benches, steps & tight corners are just not able to be climbed or accessed due to traction limitations. The 8hr capability provides advantages like no other on the market. Happy cleaning
What is recharge time, size of filter box, is it a nanofilter, how long is the warrantee and is there a 30 day trial? Thank you Alan
Hi Alan, these questions sound particular to your pool. You might benefits from speaking with our customer service team. If you'd like to supply a video of your pool environment they can provide tailored advice. Please call or email: 1300 899 737 or support@madimack.com.au
What does the warranty cover? Is the lithium battery covered by the warranty?
Hi Phillip, Yes the battery is covered by warranty. Like all batteries there is a depletion rate but yes the battery is protected by Madimack market leading warranty.
Hi all could you comment on the filter performance re fine dust please
Picks up very fine dust.... I pave set around the pool and some got in (oops) and it picked all that up too. The filter material is so fine
Thank you
How well does the MadiMack handle irregular shaped pools with ledges/benches and steps? Curt
Same question here
Did you get an answer to your questions? I have the same
not particularly - so I am assuming 'not great'
Apologies, We didn't see your question. The Madimack GT freedom performs great in irregular shaped pools, arguably the best in market. However like all robotic pool cleaners some shallow benches, steps & tight corners are just not able to be climbed or accessed due to traction limitations. The 8hr capability provides advantages like no other on the market. Happy cleaning
