honestly say that if I ever build again, MJH would be my first choice. I need to call out my builder, Cameron. What an amazing support he has been, nothing ever too much and always taking on any concerns. He even addressed and pointed out things that I really didn't see myself. He kept me informed, gave me updates when needed and and I had complete faith in his management. The standard of MJH is outstanding. The workmanship has impressed not only me, but all my family and friends that have visited, and Cameron continues to be a support even after hand over. We truly never expected this level of service and care from a home builder. I feel lucky to have built with MJH, especially with all the issues the industry is facing. We cant’t stop smiling! – We had our external and interior selection appointments with interior design team member Jodee Shepherd this week. This was the step in our home building process that we were very unsure about. together we wanted to get it right and within budget.

Jodee made us feel at ease from the beginning and after a brief conversation pretty much nailed our needs, wants and ‘style’. She listened, giving information and options without overwhelming us. One of the things we greatly appreciated was the consideration Jodee gave to our budget. She explained the cost of each upgrade, showing the changing total as we went. Having overnight to consider the external upgrades we had made and an idea of some of the larger possible future upgrades, such as lighting, allowed us to make an informed reassessment of our budget, which we increased in the knowledge that we were creating a special place without overextending ourselves. We imagine (and are perhaps incorrect?!?!?) that our home is towards the lower end of a McDonald Jones home spend, but while we were with Jodee felt we were her most important client at the time.

Jodee’s communication has been clear, effective and timely. We would not hesitate to recommend Jodee and McDonald Jones homes to anyone considering building a home or investment property.

We have not stopped smiling since meeting with Jodee and making our selections and are very much looking forward to our electrical selection appointment later in the month.

decided the Azura was our new home design, Tracey assisted us with her experience and her cut & paste flair to achieve our dream home design. Tracey and Liam’s product knowledge, professionalism and communication skills has made our new home journey so far a very pleasurable experience. My Choice Studio Oak Flats . Our first visit to the My Choice studio was an eye opener. We were warmly welcomed at reception, followed by a meeting with Katherine Pleskun who ran through the process of the appointments. Katherine gave us very helpful tips on what think about and things to research in preparation for our next appointment with the planning stage. Our next appointment for the Contract Plan & Scope of works with Allison Parnell allowed us to discuss the finer details and make slight adjustments to the plan with ease. We now have the desired layout of our new home. We then met with Brannon Kennedy our Project Coordinator who guided us through the details within the Building agreement. It is good to have a point of contact like Brannon. Next was our External selections & Internal selections open studio appointment. Jodee Shepherd assisted us to finalise our external design colour and texture scheme and gave us a preview of our internal selections choices for the next appointment. Jodee also met with us for our Internal selection appointment which involved everything from colour & flooring choices, kitchen design, door handles, locks etc. This day was a big day, however with Jodee’s expertise it made the day flow seamlessly. Our final design appointment was with Katherine for the Electical selections. There is so much to think about but once again Katherine presented her extensive knowledge making the appointment run smoothly. The whole team at the McDonald Jones Homes My Choice Studio in Oak Flats were so friendly, knowledgeable, have a wealth of experience and were able to help us achieve our dream home.

home. Kim has a great knowledge of all the products McDonald Jones Homes have to offer. Kim showed us new tile ranges available; she gave us ideas of design elements we could add to our home that we may not have thought about initially. Kim has a very friendly and professional manner and is very patient, we did not feel rushed to make decisions and I love that she gave us ideas for our home that would elevate its design and asthetic. Kim was also kind enough to fit us in early for our MyChoice studio walk-through appointment when we finished our tender and plans appointment earlier than expected.

George Bedelovski has helped us greatly in choosing our home design and tailoring it to our needs. We have had to sign three tenders now as a result to our developer having huge delays on registration of our land. Each time George has been greatly helpful, he has worked hard to bring down the cost of our home design so that it stayed within our budget. George has always been patient and understanding and taken his time with us to ensure our home designs were exactly as we wanted. He has helped us through each of our three tenders. Our previous contract was going to incur a hefty price increase due to new basix laws, George was able to bring those costs down through our new tender and adding inclusions which weren't available to us with our previous tender.

George was so thoughtful that he took time to call us personally after our Tender and Plans appointment to ensure it all ran smoothly. George is a very lovely man, kind and professional.

Overall, my husband and I have found McDonald Jones South Coast to be professional, kind, approachable, patient, knowledgeable and thoughtful. I could not fault McDonald Jones homes South Coast. I am happy I chose this company to build our first home, and I would recommend them to anyone who wanted advice on who to build their home. McDonald Jones homes built my dad's home many years ago and he has never had any issues with his home, I have a friend who also built with McDonald Jones and her home was completed without any issues. And we currently have friends who are in the process of having their home built with MJH. So far they have said their build has gone smoothly and MJH have not wasted time in getting stuck into the build and getting things done.

My husband and I can't wait for our home to be built at the start of next year.
