Our Studio M appointment was a highlight during pre-construction. The consultant we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and very clear about what products and options were available within our build.
One of the biggest stresses during pre-construction was the timing. Council took around 8 months to approve our DA, and with the 12-month contract signing deadline approaching, we were concerned about potential price increases. We ended up paying an additional fee to extend the lock-in pricing period while waiting for everything to be finalised.
Thankfully, once construction started, the experience improved dramatically. The build moved very quickly and our Site Manager was excellent. We couldn't ask for better. He kept the project moving, communicated well, and always acted on any concerns we raised. The original build timeframe was 12 months, but the house was completed in just 9 months.
We also engaged an independent inspector throughout the various construction stages. Our Site Manager was very receptive to the inspector’s feedback and addressed the vast majority of the items raised — around 9 out of 10 issues were rectified without hassle.
Overall, while the pre-construction process could definitely be improved, the construction phase itself was smooth, efficient, and professionally managed. In the end, we’re happy with the outcome and the quality of the build.

was a result of trades more often than not letting down the construction supervisors, The supervisors and construction managers were always approachable and dealt with my frustrations professionally. Post completion of the house and handover the post construction team have been amazing . [Name Removed] has exceeded our expectations with the speed in which repairs/rectifications have been managed, dispelling the myth that once builders have your money, the service slows. Whilst I complained pre construction, it was only fair to praise the construction and post construction team. Additionally the end product, is a one of a kind build, set in the bush on a sloping block over 4 levels. It was worth the wait.

Photos speak a thousand words and most of the faults i found were readily accepted as is on the prtal, with only a few more complicated cases requiring Metricon to first send it's own inspector to the site to verify the flaws. Once specific flaw(s) reported and accepted, Metricon will notify me with a prompt email. Organizing of the relevant contractors for the particular job, be it the painter, electrician, or locksmith etc. is centralized and arranged by it's coordinator/manager. Via email, SMS texting or phone calls, i would wait on site for the right contractor to show up. With the email/SMS/call channels all open to ensure the message gets through accurately and timely between Metricon-contractor-me, the field guy from the contractor did show up on-site fairly punctually almost every time and carried out the right fixing work smoothly. Despite once or twice the field service guy of a particular contractor had showed up on wrong hours and fixed the wrong flaw due to my absence on site with the house locked, the general overall experience had been a successful, efficient and enjoyable one during the entire 3 months tenure. High commended section of my long journey with Metricon !!

Where do I start??? We were sold this build on the promise that it would take up to one year. In reality, it took almost three years to complete. uncovered numerous serious building faults, including: • No waterproofing in the bathroom cupboard, resulting in water damage • A recessed light at the front of the house installed as a red light, which is completely inappropriate and highlights poor attention to detail • Scratches on the mirror present from the time of installation • A leaking pipe due to incorrect installation • Wrong materials installed on the exterior, which are not weather- or water-resistant • And most alarmingly, incorrectly installed balcony glass
Today—three years after the build—a Meriton assessor confirmed that the balcony glass was installed incorrectly, which explains the visible gaps. This is a major safety issue. We are incredibly lucky that we did not have infants or young children playing on that balcony who could have fallen through due to their negligence.
To make matters worse, when you call to report these building faults and ask for assistance, you are made to feel as though it is your fault, despite the issues clearly stemming from poor workmanship and incorrect installation.
The quality of workmanship suggests the use of cheap, unqualified, and unprofessional trades, resulting in substandard and unsafe work. This company appears to prioritise cost-cutting over safety, quality, and basic building standards.
Be extremely careful. Based on our experience, this company does not care about customer safety or delivering decent building work.

Metricon Sydney-2017-- Glendale model- My biggest concern is the roof trusses have a 20mm variance from the manhole 1.5 mts. Been in the roof and lifted the insulation to see why there are 3 mtr cracks along the plaster joint lines only to see the sheets that are cracking are not screwed to a noggin. not even close! as a structural joint randomly along the seam. Several irregular shapes, made from gyprock inserted up to fill the out of square sections were the sheets meet. Held in with top coat-( no adhesive used ) Topcoat oozing out of the joints
History.. (During the warranty period the leisure room ceiling had been replaced twice to remedy the issue) Was inspected during the rectification works by Metricon Building Manager. My message is--Simply do not rely on the Building company to do the work correctly. Have an independent inspection done by a third party.

found reasons to deny my claims. Most recently, they referred to a specific clause from the "NSW Guide to Standards and Tolerances 2017" to avoid addressing the problem, which was a stark contrast to the promised comprehensive coverage.
