own concerns regarding the floor plan that could be rectified before it became an issue down the track. The build quality was to a very high standard with all finishes and any slight issues were easily rectified. My only issue with Metricon was that I was given a choice of internal/external colours to choose from, selections were finalised and 3 months later I was told the external colours needed to be changed due to "encumbrance requirements" which still does not make sense as all builds on the development are different - however the final product does still look amazing.

Our journey with Metricon has been overall very smooth, and we are absolutely delighted with our new home. have an answer for, nothing was too much trouble and our advisor made sure we were 100% happy with everything before we move to the pre-construction team. She also stayed in contact throughout our building journey and was a great support when we needed assistance during pre-construction.

Overall, the pre-construction stage was good however I would encourage thorough review of all paperwork during this stage. We had multiple instances of having to return paperwork for errors and ultimately we had a 5 week delay due to errors from the Metricon office. Selections were an absolute delight, and despite delays we would still say pre-construction was a good experience since all issues were resolved.

At the construction stage, we could not have asked for a better Site Manager and Building Support Coordinator. From slab to keys was 14 weeks, and our private inspector confirmed all stages to be of a high quality. The finished result was everything we had envisioned and the team were very quick to respond to any queries or issues (which cropped up outside of their control).

If we were to build another house, we would not hesitate to build with Metricon again. From start to finish, it has been an excellent building experience.

This should come at no surprise given that Metricon has been involved in legal disputes, including a recent case where a homeowner sought damages for construction defects. While the court acknowledged issues with the home's slab construction, it did not find Metricon liable for broader damages like full reconstruction. The homeowner was awarded partial compensation for specific defects. Additionally, Metricon has faced public scrutiny over its handling of customer complaints, fixed-price contract terminations, and overall post-construction support, which has led to multiple regulatory investigations and complaints.

I would definitely build again with Metricon – Building experience was good. But don’t expect any after sale service I couldn’t be more disappointed then the dealings I have had with Metricon post building the warranty isn’t worth the piece of paper it’s written on any if it’s faulty workmanship they will not pay .Treated with total disbaine once they have your money that’s it service ends.… Read more

always slow and confused. The engineering report highlighted a number of items about our soil that were completely ignored by Metricon. When I brought this up they asked me to point them to the specific paragraphs rather than them actually reading the report themselves. Every part of the process was disorganized and every person we dealt with seemed confused that the person before hadn't done a better job. Studio M was a disaster as their IT systems were offline so we were meant to choose all our fitting without knowing the price. At no point were we offered any sort of consideration as a result of this issue. The whole thing just felt like a contrived and frustrating process to try and push us beyond the point of no return without any care for how our house turned out. In the end we were lucky enough to walk away before we invested too much money. Overall a really unprofessional and disappointing experience. On the upside our pre-site manager actually seemed to be trying to help up but everything around her was a shambles. Also, on the upside, we were able to walk away without too much fuss but I had been documenting the debacle as things went so they were not in a good position to argue. Plus, I had refused to pay a deposit when signing the contract because all parties knew the contract they wanted me to sign was fundamentally incorrect but they refused to fix any of the errors until I had signed!

This seems to be the norm with many builders today, unfortunately offering generic quotes, unclear allowances, and often asking for non-refundable deposits (yes, we’ve paid those to other builders). Then there were the delayed second estimates, significantly higher than the first, and the pressure to sign contracts quickly.

But we were lucky enough to come across Metricon, and we’re so thankful we did. More importantly, we were fortunate to work with some incredible people who made this journey an absolute dream. We built a two-storey home. The entire process was much shorter than many developments and buildings we see around us, whether by large, small, or custom builders. Metricon is much more efficient than most, if not all of those.

From the very start, our sales consultant/advisor, [Name Removed], was exceptional. He guided us through every stage of the process with patience and clarity. He kept our dreams realistic, offering invaluable advice to help us avoid disappointment during the selection process. His estimates were mostly accurate, and he was always quick to respond to emails and questions, no matter how small. His support was consistent from beginning to end, making the whole experience feel smooth and manageable. He listened to our ambitious ideas, and at the same time, helped us focus on what truly mattered without breaking the bank. We left the experience feeling confident and excited about our choices rather than stressed.

The pre-site team was also fantastic. Everyone was professional, from the selections consultant to the pre-site manager. We never had to wait days for an email response, which was a pleasant change from what we experienced with other builders.

When we moved into the construction phase, we started with a different site manager who was fine, but everything turned amazing when [Name Removed] took over. [Name Removed], along with his admin assistant [Name Removed], made the entire construction process stress-free. [Name Removed] was absolutely fantastic and was always available to answer our questions and if he missed our call always returned it the very next day (if not the same day). His responsiveness and commitment to keeping us informed were beyond impressive. [Name Removed] never made us feel bad for asking questions, no matter how silly we thought they might be, and he always took the time to address each concern, big or small. Sometimes he even simplified technical questions for us as we were beginners in building. We had hired a private building inspector, and [Name Removed] made sure any issues identified were addressed quickly and thoroughly. It was clear that he treated our house as if it were his own. His dedication to quality and attention to detail was evident at every stage. He even spotted imperfections during the pre-handover inspection that we had missed, ensuring they were fixed before the handover.

Thanks to the entire Metricon team in Adelaide, we had an amazing experience. We’re extremely grateful for their professionalism and expertise. The quality of our build is outstanding, and we’re beyond thrilled with the results. were both very responsive and able to assist with my queries when needed. Importantly I was pleased with the house being completed before the estimated time provided when signing the contract. All went smoothly for me this was a land and house package.

The only downside was not being able to have certain variations / amendments to the design (i.e. extra power points / ethernet ports) as it was a land & package deal in a townhouse development.

Overall, I would recommend Metricon for a new build and glad I made my purchase.
