The operating instruction contain the installation requirements and list safety requirements. Under the image of the appliance, use the "Downloads" tab. Drawers can be installed under the cooktop; however, it is not recommended to have cutlery or flammable items stored in this drawer as these items will be exposed to residual heat (Warning and Safety). My apologies - I meant to say the Miele induction cooktop with integrated extraction. My kitchen man said I can't have any drawers underneath. Is this correct? Once again my apologies.

I had the cooker 2 months ago and the timer on the wok burner to this date still doesn't work. I called Miele and they responded quickly . They tried to send an engineer out but he kept on falling ill and after 3 weeks of waiting, an engineer was due to arrive at 9:30am but he called at 8:45am to advise me that the part that he supposed to bring was lost. So another cancelled appointment. They have reschedule until May the 9th which is a month after my initial appointment.
When I first called Miele for a service engineer to come about the timer, the customer service called me back to say a part was needed to be ordered so they rescheduled the first appointment. I was surprised to learn that they would know what part to order before the engineer even come to see the problem. I just guessed that it might be a common problem for this model.
Another problem after using it for the third time, the rubber bush that is under the cook ring , it came away and broke. The ring requires this rubber bush to stop the cooker ring from touching the glass top directly. This doesn't live up to the Miele brand name. The quality is poor and I am very disappointed with this product too. I don't experience with any beeping but the timer will occasionally beep if I rest something on the glass.
I hope the engineer will come as promised in May. I have been very patiently waiting and if he doesn't turn up next time I think I will really kick up a fuss and demand for a new hob to be replaced instead.
Hello, I moved into my remodelled house last year in October and had serious issues with this stove top. What's the point of the electrical panel, when you cant, reboot it? I have to actually pull out my drawers unplug the cooktop and then plug it back. I wish the SF design centre representatives had let me know about this. I made two trips but they only had praise for this model. I am truly disappointed! when I tried contacting the installer he almost told me I will have to suck it up. Can I get some help it's just been 13 months since I moved back!

this is not the only person I also have the same issue reading many and many more on the internet about this cooktop Miele you should have a product recall asap I also rang and 1st was we have to get a service technician out obviously a service fee etc on what seems to be a very serious issue on usage I am in the process of collating all complaints against this what is clearly a manufacturers fault to ensure if Miele doesn't fix then the various statutory authorities will place fair trading i suggest all should also contact I will keep over 100 so far people posted and stop making money out of service calls on your manufacturer's faulty products hopefully I can get current affair to do something also I estimated you have made in callouts so far some average of $312/callout and at 138 so far adds to $43,000 not bad scam good one Miele! but you would know how many note you have a legal obligation keep these records and report to the authorities of this manufacturers fault i suggest then refund after all these poor people
This cooktop is just horrible. I regret buying it, it is hard to clean, was very expensive and the problem with the beeping is just ridiculous at this price range. I only got it in April this year but have had to remove drawers and turn my cooktop off at the wall numerous times and I have tried to call but waited for 45 minutes for someone to help me on the phone but never got through. Then went online and booked an appointment for late January where they say I need to pay for someone to come and fix the problem. Truly, just don't buy one. You'll hate it!!!!
same problem, used it first time and it started beeping after cleaning. rang miele support spoke to a lady who put me through to service section but hung up after 40 mins wait as no one picked up the call. never again

Hi I absolutely love it. I need to change the above review. The beeping was happening because the stone wasn't made the right size, so it dropped. Everytime I pressed on it, it beeped. The stone guy came back out, and fixed it. I love the cooktop, if it does beep since, its been really easy to stop it.

The unit sounds faulty (this beeping issue is very common with this stovetop). If it’s new, then it should be under warranty. I would contact Harvey Norman and request a new stove or for that one to be fixed. If I had a choice (now that I know how bad this unit is), I would never have bought this stove

After my complaint, Miele invited me to call them. They sent around a very nice man who replaced the electronics, free of charge. It now seems to be working just fine so far. Problem is still there.

Same thing as what Nora described happened with me. The issue is the sensor was too close to the glass and the very friendly Miele technician adjusted the distance and all is ok now. It does not affect the new models.
What I really hate about this cooktop is the fact that I need to clean the glass top every frigging time I use it. Luckily we are renting whilst we rebuild.
Hi My oven beeping sounds just went out, i can hear it but it is very low the sound gone under !!!
I hate this cooktop so much! You need to unplug the power from underneath. Pull out your drawer or open the cabinet and you should find it. Turn off the power for 15 minutes and then turn it back on.

HORRIBLE COOK TOP EVER,after all Miele hype we bought this cook top,no reason for it to beep when turn on low flame.Make me frustrated with click sound.Still keep making click sound after the burner is on.My two front burners stooped workings after 2 years warrant finished.Now there is a call out fee of 179$,which is a rip off.

What does my cook top turn itself off and then begin beeping
Usually it means you have some object on the stove and it thinks it’s a fire hazard, so it turns itself off and starts beeping. Ensure you don’t have any additional objects on the cooktop while the burners are on

I cannot unlock my gas stove, tried pushing both the plus and negative sign together to wait and hear the beep - but it won't unlock the stove. Any advice or tips?
We turned off the power to it and it reset the stove and unlocked it. Only way to make that work. Would never buy one of these again.
Hi Audra, Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We are not sure what exactly you are being locked out on, or if there are any fault messages which would give us a better understanding of the problem. We would say that the electronic control has detected what it thinks is a boil over or spill, so has shut down. The controls are designed to do so if more than one 'touchpad' is operated at any one time. This is the same as moisture laying across, or a cloth, be it damp, or dry, sitting on the glass, or even a pot partially across the control area. The controls are not sure of the command requested, so sets of an audible beeping alarm, to warn you.
The 'Operating Manual' has no mention of this type of issue in the 'Problem Solving' section, exactly, but does mention to turn off the unit with other problems, if previous advice has not worked. Please be aware of cleaning and then drying the control area straight away after spills, or when cleaning after use. Then to ensure that the control area is not covered in any way whilst in operation.

So I’m not alone. I have had mine for a year now and every time I clean the top the beeping starts. Its actually beeping right now. I haven’t bothered to switch off the main power to reset it as it was late last night when it started. You would think after all these complaints Miele would take all these reviews seriously and fix the problem.
Now we got used to it. "Rebooting" cook top every night. I am glad Miele is not making planes. Their customer service is also very rude.

We have the same problem with our Miele gas cooktop, it starts beeping and won’t stop. I would totally not recommend buying Miele. We had cheaper brands in our kitchen before we renovated and never any issues.

I have the same problem, need to remove a draw to switch off at PowerPoint to stop the beeping very frustrating. I will be calling in the morning
I had the same issue, but if you lock it before you start cleaning it won’t beep any more.. then unlock it after you’ve cleaned it.. took a while to figure out but I’ve got no more issues with it.. hope it helps
We have had our Miele cook top ($3500 ) for 2 . Same issue, we cleaned the ceramic glass with a damp cloth and also used a dry cloth to wipe dry immediately after the clean. Beeping has commenced. It wont stop - 30 seconds intervals. HELP.

Your service call is expensive! Not to mention it is time consuming for a working family! I expected a lot better from Miele products! But they fail over and over again. The beeping is driving me mad. And when it’s beeping you can’t turn on the gas cooktop either. Before my kitchen Reno we had cheaper brands of appliances and bever had the isssues we’ve had with Miele
