Miele T 8927 WP / T 8929 WP Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a 10 year old Miele T 8929 WP Heat Pump Tumble Dryer. It doesn’t heat up or dry the clothes obviously. I can’t seem to find what element this model needs. I’m an electrician and wil fix it myself. Apart from dismantling the unit to find the element, does anyone on here know what part I can order?
I have a Miele heat pump tumble dryer T 8929 WP only had it for 3 years and it already needs a new part as it won’t dry the clothes. Heats but doesn’t dry. Not happy at all!
What does F 158 fault mean in a Miele T 8927 WP Heat Pump Dryer?
Not sure, try Miele service center.
We just had a technician out to our T-8947 for that particular fault code - I'm assuming it means the same across the heat pump models. This code will often be foreshadowed by more regular appearances of the "clean out airways" or "blocked airways" message towards the end of a big load such as towels. Stopping the dryer to clean all the filters doesn't actually cure the problem, it just allows the dryer to cool down a little, so gives the appearance or fixing the problem.
Seems F-158 indicates some form of airflow/cooling issue around the compressor - it can indicate a blockage or overheating in that area. The front, lower RIGHT vent covers a radiator and fan assembly which cools the compressor, in our case this radiator had become blocked with fine fluff over six years of regular use.
USE CAUTION: The vent cover can be removed using the yellow plastic tool by CAREFULLY levering out the MIDDLE AT THE BOTTOM of the vent (not the sides or top!). The radiator can then be *VERY CAREFULLY* cleaned with a vacuum using a soft brush, then the vent cover replaced.
Hope this helps.
