Olitech EasyMate 2 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: OLT2914V2I have given the Easy mate 2 to my mother, but the ring time is so short that she misses the calls every time. How do we increase the call time on the Telstra network? I cannot find any information on this matter in the user manual. Your advice will be appreciated. Quentin
If you go to settings there is something there that lets the phone ring until answered. I am away for now so can't check phone or manual to clarify exact setting.
Thanks Steve - I look forward to your further advice in due course. Quentin
It is regrettable that such important info is not included in the phone's manuaI. I was emailed the following, tried it out, and it worked. Depending on who your phone provider is, you’ll be able to choose how long your phone rings for.
To extend the ring time on a TELSTRA phone, simply do the following: 1.) Open your Phone app as if you’re about to make a call 2.) Enter in the following as if you’re making a phone call **61*101**30# 3.) Press the call/send button and you’re done!
Telstra allows you to change your ring time to 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. So if you want it to be 20 seconds, simply do the same thing but with a 20 instead of a 30!
To extend the ring time on an OPTUS phone, simply do the following: 1.) Open your Phone app as if you’re about to make a call 2.) Enter in the following as if you’re making a phone call **61*321**30# 3.) Press the call/send button and you’re done!
Optus allows you to change your ring time to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. So if you want it to be 20 seconds, simply do the same thing but with a 20 instead of a 30!
To extend the ring time on an VODAFONE phone, do the following: 1.) Open your Phone app as if you’re about to make a call 2.) Enter in the following as if you’re making a phone call **61*121**30# 3.) Press the call/send button and you’re done!
Vodafone allows you to change your ring time to 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. So if you want it to be 20 seconds, simply do the same thing but with a 20 instead of a 30!
Had Olitech EasyMate 2 since February 21st, bought for 95 yo to just receive calls. Today I visited and the phone was dead, the charger had been pulled out of socket slightly so must have drained battery. Tried several times to recharge using cradle and just cable, without success. Have left it on charge for few hours now. The is no flashing * key to indicate charger and screen is black.
Whilst its a great phone I have already had 2 charging Cradles fail, Check the pins in the Cradle as they are likely bent. If so, just unplug the lead from the Cradle and plug directly into your phone, its the same plug and see if that gets you by. You Olitech team has excellent support so give them a call if you need further help.
Thx David, already done all that. Olitech are sending replacement phone. I agree, called support several times and always a great help.
Would you tell me please which phone has replaced the Olitech Easy Mate + . Thank you. Nancy
