Silly question- we have paramount duet 2016- we have a mains switch- which turns ceiling lights/ all power on- however cannot locate a switch to turn the ceiling lights off without turning the mains switch off, anyone know how we do this?

Our green light doesn’t come on for the tv booster, we have 12v power because we can use the tv to watch a dvd from the same socket but we can not get tv channels. We have replaced the antenna, tried new coax, tried an external booster, tried different locations (suburbs/states).

Are there any instructions for converting the table to bed in a 2007 duet expanda? I think we are missing a part

We’re looking at a used 2008 Duet. Just wondering what the frame is made of? Timber or aluminium? Thanks

G'day Matt, it's is made of meranti timber. You will not go wrong with a Duet, great quality and finishes, we progressed from a Jayco Swan (also a great van but too much set up) to the Duet and love it. We had the Expanda v's Duet debate ourselves and talked to every Duet owner we came across and never heard a negative about the Duets in particular or Paramount as a manufacturer.

Now having said that we are actually selling ours as our boys are getting to the age where they are no longer camping with us so its time to downsize again. If your interested feel free to give me a call (number on Gumtree ad) or have any questions otherwise.

On our mid 2008 Paramount Duet all the 240v works except the aircon and fridge. What could be the cause and how to fix it?

We had a Paramount duet and loved it, except that the bed was always wet with condensation in the morning and we needed to raise the mattresses for it to dry. We'd like to buy another as it ticks all the boxes of our current needs. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have a fix for it?

We had this problem recently. It was the first time we used it in July and noticed that we had a lot of condensation throughout the van. We tried using the heater, leaving a couple of windows slightly open to reduce the problem with very limited success. We have never experienced this problem during the warmer months of the year.

We just brought a 2007 duet, it has been looked after well. But just got home and now sun going down and no lights on 240. And we havnt brought battery yet. Is there a fuse blown or are they full 240? Except microwave and aircon.

Lights should be 12 DC. If your power points work, you need to look for the 12 volt power supply, ours was in the front box where the front bed folds down, and a fuse panel should be next to it. Our power supply blew up as it was in a location that would get wet, so I removed it and replaced it with a battery and solar charging system.

Thank you grant for your help. We ended up getting a battery to try the lights and they worked but are you saying there is a switch to turn on 240

Grant H.
Grant H.

Yes, there should be a safety switch that needs to be turned on to supply the 240 volts for the power, and there should be a 12 volt power supply that would be plugged into a power point to charge the battery and power the lights. Our power supply and power point for it is now located in the internal storage box under the front bed on the right hand side.

on the 2010 model, a switch on wall with 3 settings, upper, middle, lower. Lower was for DC, upper point for when on mains, middle to set all to off. Easy to mistake the postition.

Hi I have a single axle 18ft duet and find that it wobbles alot when set up with stabilizers down. I have tried different things and have improved it but does all these vans wobble a bit?

Grant H.

Our Duet does move a little but I wouldn't say it wobbles a lot. I use blocks of timber under the stabilizers that significantly increase the foot print of the stabilizers.
