Hi Faye, Revitive Ostoarthritis-Knee has recently been discontinued. There may be some stock still available with retail partners however we do not have visibility of their stock holdings. You can try calling your local Harvey Norman, Good Guys or Shaver Shop stores to see if anyone still has sock.

We do have a small number of refurbished units still in stock - if this is of interest you can give our customer service team a call on 07 5443 9767.

Alternatively our new Revitive Medic Coach Knee bundle could be a good fit. This has 3 knee programs activated and comes with 2 packs of thigh pads. You connect this model with your smart phone and it will help coach you to the best intensity and therapy program for your needs. external link

can i use my revive model2469MD more than once a day

Aggie
Aggie

Hi Caz, my Revitive Osteoarthritis Knee model is shown in my manual as 2836AA , there is very specific guidance on use of the thigh pads incl for 1 session of 20 minutes a day 5 days per week, with a risk of muscle fatigue if used for more than 6 sessions of 30 minutes ( or equivalent) per day

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Caz, This was our original Medic model. Yes you certainly can use it more than once. As Aggie mentioned, you can safely use EMS via the foot pads for up to 6 x 30 minute sessions per day, but that could result in some muscle fatigue (aches) if you are not used to this much stimulation.

Most of our users tell us that they like 2 x 30 minute sessions per day - often a morning and evening.

I hope this helps, please feel free to call our Customer Service team if you would like any more specific feedback.

Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia.

I have a Revitive Medic. When I use it I get plenty of action on my right leg but very little on my left leg. Why is this?

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Good morning Bill, Thank you for your question. This is very common. The intensity output in both foot pads is exactly the same. However, both feet and legs are never exactly the same and the nerves in one foot or leg may be more sensitive than the other. Set the intensity to a level that is comfortable in the good (or more sensitive) foot. The other foot will still be receiving the EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) despite the lack of sensation.

If you have any further questions, please contact our Customer Services Team on (07) 5443 9767.

I would like to know are you able to use the body pads with this model? Also do the body pads function as EMS or TENS or both?

Carol
Carol

Yes you can use the body pads and works with both EMS & TENS functions.

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Good morning Brande, Thank you for your question. The Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee is only compatible with the Thigh Pads. The stimulation program that is used for the thigh output on this device has been designed with the intention of targeting muscle response in the quadriceps muscles – the large muscle group in the front of the thigh. The intention is to strengthen these muscles and as a result this could support the knee and relieve the issues associated with Osteoarthritis in the knee. As such the stimulation would not be of optimal benefit if used elsewhere as it may overwork the muscles.

In addition, the Revitive Osteoarthritis Knee only uses EMS through the thigh pads.

If you were looking for a device where you could use body pads for EMS and TENS sessions, plus thigh pads with the Knee Program. I would strongly recommend looking at our app controlled Revitive Medic Coach and Knee bundle. external link

Hi, I am a professional dog walker and cover around 20k per day, I do currently have Plantar Fasciitis and have been using your Ultrasonic Therapy device and things are definitely going in the right direction for me to get on top of this. I also feel at times that circulation is an issue too and have been considering purchasing your Medic Coach with the Knee Bundle as I do have a fluid on the knee problem that has also been there for some time now. My knee has been drained at one time but fluid is still evident, would your knee pads help with these symptoms?

Suzanne C.

My husband is awaiting a knee remplacement. He has lost all his muscles in his legs due to arthritis of the knee (Even though he does an active job) Continue swelling and had it drained numerous times . I’m wonder if the machine would help him now and also after his operation . Many thanks

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Suzanne, Thank you for your question. For Knee related conditions we usually recommend purchasing the Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee or the Medic Coach with the Knee program (additional cost). The reason we recommend these two devices is because they are compatible with our thigh pads which have been designed with the intention of targeting muscle response in the quadriceps muscles – the large muscle group in the front of the thigh. The intention is to strengthen these muscles and as a result this could support and stabilise the knee and reduce swelling in the knees. In regard to right now Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee or Medic Coach could help relieve aches, pains and swelling in your husband’s knee.

Knee surgeries are not a contraindication, so this means that your husband could use REVITIVE after his knee surgery. We do recommend caution when applying stimulation after RECENT (within the past 6 months) surgical procedures because stimulation could sometimes disrupt the healing process. A discussion with his doctor is encouraged as he/she would know his medical condition e.g. surgical procedure, healing progress, complications, etc, and be in the best position to advise how early he can start using REVITIVE again.

Please note for any user with a pre-existing condition, we recommend checking with a doctor before use to ensure that Revitive is suitable.

If you'd like to discuss further, please feel free to touch base with our Customer Service team for a chat - 07 5443 9767.

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Mike, Yes it is ok to feel the sensation around your ankles. It would be good if you can continue to increase the intensity level, and get strong but comfortable, calf muscle contractions. You should not feel pain or discomfort. If you do, lower the intensity level slightly.

Hi I have mild arthritis in my knee and have some discomfort in my knee. How would the revitive help me?

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Noel, Thank you for your question. Revitive has two devices that may help relieve symptoms associated with Osteoarthritis in the Knee: Revitive Medic Coach or Revitive Osteoarthritis Knee. Revitive Osteoarthritis Knee is controlled with a remote, while Revitive Medic Coach is controlled via an App on the smartphone. NB: for Revitive Medic Coach, the purchase of Thigh Pads will unlock three Knee Programs. The stimulation through the Thigh Pads has a modified pattern which is specifically intended to promote muscle strengthening of the quadriceps muscles.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact or customer service team on (07) 5443 9676.

Will be 89 in Dec and family want to buy me one of your products. Friend with MS has used the Circulation one for years and swears by it. I tried hers and liked what it did. I am slightly different though. Have been handling arthritic right knee for years because surgeon and I agree hold off on an op. Have slight circulation and swelling problem in left foot which I keep track of. I feel like I want to strengthen my legs not so much the bottom but so I can get up stairs more easily. I dont have pain in the legs. If knee swells at all at present I just take an inflammatory which is not very often. My Osteo says I can probably strengthen with weights but I like the idea of sitting at breakfast reading the paper each morning using your machine. So which product should the family buy me. They are quite happy to pay for the more expensive knee one if you think that is the best. Dawn Quick (PS how do I see your reply as we want to get this as soon as we can?)

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Dawnie! Thank you for your question. We are so happy to hear you have tried Revitive and enjoyed it. Revitive Osteoarthritis Knee Circulation Booster would be the most suitable option as it sounds like you have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in the knee. The stimulation program that is used for the thigh output on this device has been designed with the intention of targeting muscle response in the quadriceps muscles – the large muscle group in the front of the thigh. The intention is to strengthen these muscles and as a result this could support and stabilise the knee, and reduce swelling in the knees.

Love the foot pads but when I use the thigh pads even on the highest setting i do not feel any sensation at all. I have tried on more than one occasion so not sure if the product is faulty.

have no problems, using foot pads, use sorbolene massaged into feet for full effect. Using ems or tems setting around 15-20 for ten mins is enough for my shoulder therapy iT DOES WORK, and wakes you up. WILL keep using .

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Mipcar, Glad to hear you are enjoying using the Revitive foot pads. With regards to the thigh pads, first thing to check is that you are definitely using the Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee model. The thigh pads are not intended for use with any other model (if you no longer have the box to double check, the model number on the back of the device will be 2836AA)

If you do have the Osteoarthritis-Knee model it is important to note that the Arthritis mode is slightly different to the waveforms you feel via the foot pads. In Arthritis-mode there will be 10 seconds of stimulation, followed by a 50-second rest period, when no stimulation is felt. If you are not feeling the 10 second targeted stimulation at all, then it would be good to give our Customer Service team a call so they can run through some trouble shooting to see if they can help to get to the bottom of it.

Our Customer Service team can be reached on 07 5443 9767.

I have knees problems and will need a knee replacement in the future. which is the best machine to get the Circulation Booster Osteoarthritis-Knee or Medic Plus. Have read reviews for both but still unsure.

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Patricia, If you have areas of concern in the Knee, often the Osteoarthritis Knee model is better. It has specialised thigh pads that are intended to work the larger quadriceps muscles which can help to support the knee. That said, given that you are awaiting surgery and have a pre-existing condition, we do recommend that you speak to your doctor first to ensure that Revitive is right for you with a full view of your existing condition.

If we can help you further with product information, please feel free to have a chat with our customer service team on 07 5443 9767 (mon-fri)

Toni

Hi when using my machine I see movement / sensation in my left foot and toes but not my right foot , is this normal ? Also when I have the arthritis pads on I don’t see my muscles contract? Thanks

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Toni, This is a good question and one we get quite a bit. It is not at all uncommon to experience a stronger sensation in one foot and less in the other. We recommend that you use a setting that is strong but comfortable for the more sensitive side. The less sensitive side is still receiving the benefit of the EMS.

With regards to the arthritis pads, are you feeling the sensation? If the sensation feels strong (again, it must be comfortable - no pain) then you will be working the muscles. If the sensation is quite weak - you may need to increase a little. Remember that in arthritis mode, the EMS runs for 10 seconds then there is a long pause before the next wave begins.

If we can give more info, please feel free to give us a call. We can work with you while you are using the device to make sure you are getting the most out of it. We can also answer any questions you may have. Our team can be reached on 07 5443 9767

It doesn't really matter if your foot moves or not ( as my left foot moves more than my right ) , as long as you "feel" your muscles contracting .

I would like to know if the machine for arthritic knee would help arthritic feet also does it help build weakened leg muscles? Than you

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi June, The Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee model has larger thigh pads that are designed to deliver electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to the quadriceps muscles which may help to strengthen thigh muscles that support the knee. This extra support may reduce aches, pains and swelling associated with knee osteoarthritis.

The foot pads also use EMS to stimulate the muscles in your calf and food to contract and relax - this can assist to increase circulation in the lower legs.

If we can offer more information, please feel free to give our Customer Service team a call on 07 5443 9767.

Warm Regards, Actegy Health - AUSTRALIA.

I have arthritis in both knees and I am due to have knee replacement some time this year. Would the machine be a substitute for knee replacement?

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi eddie burney, We do have a model that is designed to assist with Knee-Osteoarthritis however as you are currently under treatment for the condition and awaiting surgery, it would be best to check with your doctor first.

If your doctor clears you for use, the model that would be the best to consider is the Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee. This model has a specific arthritis mode and thigh pads that are designed to assist with the larger quadriceps muscles ; external link

It is also a good idea to check the contraindications to make sure the product is suitable for you: external link

Post surgery it is worth noting that we recommend using with caution within the first 6 months to ensure that there is no disruption to your recovery. You would also only resume use with your Doctor's approval. With regards to metallic implants - the device is still ok to use with metallic implants. There is a small chance that the stimulation may feel more intense close to the site of a metallic implant. If this is experienced you should reduce the intensity to a comfortable level.

If we can offer any further information, our Customer Service team can be reached on 07 5443 9767

Warm Regards, Actegy Health AUSTRALIA.

Hi, would you need both medic plus and osteo knee machines for osteoarthritis and neurpathy type leg swelling? Or could you just buy the osteo knee one to do both. It seems like when you are not using the sticky pads for the thighs the machine is doing the same thing as the normal circulation booster?

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Julie, You are right - the foot pads of both devices will deliver the Electrical Muscle Stimulation which may help to reduce pain and discomfort in the legs caused by Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.

The Osteoarthritis knee device has a specific arthritis mode which works via the larger thigh pads to deliver a specific EMS mode designed for the larger quadriceps muscles. If you suffer from Knee Osteoarthris, this may be the better option for you.

Medic Plus does not have the Arthritis mode, but does offer a TENS mode for temporary pain relief. Our comparison page may help to identify the main differences between the machines: external link

If you are still unsure, please feel free to have a chat with our helpful Customer Service team - 07 5443 9767. They may be able to help advise the right device for you.

I am 79 and had never problems with my knees .Have purchased a machine and can I use this once or twice a day for each leg?

Millie71
Millie71

My dad is 83 and uses it twice a day - with both legs on the machine. I imagine you could do one leg at a time until you get used it it, but he hasn't had any problems doing both legs together. He has built up the intensity over a few weeks. Start off slow and build from there. Turn down the intensity if it's too much.

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Andy. lisaomaria71 has given some good advice here. When using the foot pads, you will need to have both feet on the device at the same time for it to work (this creates a circuit for the Electrical Muscle Stimulation). Via the foot pads we suggest 1 or 2 x 30 minute sessions per day.

If you don't have any concerns with your knees, you may not need to use the thigh pads - you could stick to using the foot pads only. The thigh pads help to deliver the stimulation to the quadriceps muscles to assist with Osteoarthritis of the knee or other concerns in this area. If you do choose to use the thigh pads, we suggest 1 x 20 minute session per day on the effected leg/s 5 times in a week. Your user manual can offer more information on this (see page 20)

As lisaomaria71 said, start of slow and build up the intensity as you get used to the sensation. Over time you are aiming for strong but comfortable muscle contractions.

I hope this helps, if we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team on 07 5443 9767

Warm Regards, Actegy Health AUSTRALIA.

My mother has arthritis in her knee, would this help? She gets aching legs/knee at night and tight muscles. I cant imagine her using the thigh pad but the foot pad is something she would use regularly, would she get the same benefit?

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi Alan, Using only the foot pads your mother may see an improvement in circulation which can assist to reduce aches and pains in the lower legs. If she was willing to consider using the thigh pads, the Osteoarthritis-Knee model has a specific Arthritis mode which is designed to assist in building strength in the thigh muscles which can help this condition. She will likely see more benefits from using both therapy options. We do find that the thigh pads are relatively straight-forward to use.

Will this osteo model also help with fluid in ankles and feet. Jahn Leisner

Revitive
Revitive   DM

Hi there Jahn, If you use REVITIVE Osteoarthritis-Knee with the foot-pads, the Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) helps contract and relax the muscles in your legs and feet to get fresh blood flowing and, yes this could help reduce swelling volume and discomfort in the lower leg, foot and ankles.

Let us know how it goes.

Warm regards, Actegy Health AUSTRALIA.
