My heater won’t go to low fan is there a way to reset the heater controll The model is RIB 2310
I am looking at buying a Rinnai 952. Is there a difference between this and the 950X? This will be to heat a large, open plan area. Has anybody experienced both a Rinnai 950 and an Escea DF960 - that may be able to review the differences?
Thanks for the question Loulou, we would recommend contacting our Sales Department to discuss this matter further. They can be reached on 1300 555 545 (option 1).
Thanks, Rinnai Australia
I bought rinnai sapphire gas log 3 years ago. Sometime it suddenly turns off and the fan turns off too. It is off for about 30 seconds and produces a bad smell. One of the logs are also catching on fire and melting. Please help
Thanks for the question Lolo, without inspecting the heater it is hard to diagnose the issue. However the log set on this fire should never be in contact with the live flame so it sounds like the log set may have moved into the path of the flame. A service call will be required to confirm if this is the case.
Please advise whats wrong with heater?
When i start my Sapphire gas heater the pilot light ignites. After about 10 seconds the main flame ignites and after 30 seconds it turns off. After a few seconds the pilot light automatically ignites and the sequence repeats itself about 10 times before it stays on.
try re-setting the remote, take out batteries. Then follow reset remote instructions.
Thanks for your answer.
I have never used remote just used manual buttons in top LHS, ill try and find remote and try your suggestion
The service manual advises to clean filter, how do i access this?
Not sure what is wrong with your heater
I had the main control panel and fire rod replaced by Rinnai on my 950 when it kept going out after first ignition
Good luck
Sounds like I need to call Rinnai for a service call.
Cheers
Thanks for the question Blue Swimmer, there can be a number of reasons for the unit to cut out and a service call will be able to pinpoint the cause.
Problem solved. Called my local plumber DCI Plumbing and Gas and they had problem fixed in a couple of hours. Main problem was a build up of fluff around air intake and fan which starved the unit of air.(due to lack of service)
Add to problem one of the logs had dislodged and laid up against pilot light.
I highly recommend gas heater are serviced every couple of years before a problem turns into a disaster.
Thanks DCI Plumbing and Gas.
Rinnai space heater Energy Saver can be flued straight out the back of wall but Sapphire manual only shows through the roof.
Could Sapphire flue go out through back of wall ?
hi are the logs in a rinnai sapphire gas log flame fire meant to burn/catch fire?
Thanks for the question James. The log set in the Sapphire heater is designed to glow, but not to catch fire. It may be that the log set is positioned incorrectly and the log is over one of the gas vents but we would highly recommend booking a service call either with your installing plumber or through Rinnai to ensure the heater is operating correctly and safely. The Rinnai team is available from 8.00am - 5.30pm EST Monday to Friday.
We just installed a sapphire and finding it hard to figure out what is the lowest setting. We want some heat but not too much.
We run our Sapphire by means of the Thermostat/Remote Controller, Temperature and Heat/Fan setting is then governed by what you set the Controller at, as in required room temperature, once temperature is reached the unit will wind down to lower burner and fan settings, eventually turning off if temperature setting is exceeded. Alternately the unit can be run manually, lowest setting is achieved by pushing the down arrow button until the lame drops to the required level.
