Russell Hobbs Eco One Cup Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi could you plz tell me where I can buy one please
Oh I wish I could. I would buy another straight away. Try op shops I guess
Try Ebay too. I saw one on there once but it had already been sold.
I would like to buy one of these for my husband but cannot find one anywhere. Please can you let us know if there is anywhere in Australia that this item is available for purchase! Thank you!
Unfortunately I don't think there is anywhere you can buy these now. I've been looking for a couple of years, since mine broke. The only place I found one was on Ebay and it went in a flash. I really want another one and wish Russell Hobbs would make them again.
Can you still buy Russell Hobbs Eco one cup kettle. If so who sells and the price please.
Hi, some time ago I bought the Russell Hobbs 1 cup Eco Kettle and it was the best purchase I ever made. Several of my friends also bought one and they also agreed it was a great kettle. It is wonderful for people who have difficulty moving a large kettle with water and I don't understand why it was discontinued. Thinking that it would be a terrific product for anyone who is disable to use with safety. Please make it again. Kay R

Totally agree this is a fab product - had mine at least 8 years- particularly great for late hubby making own cuppa from a wheelchair. Can we all lobby Russell Hobbs to resurrect manufacture of this product & market it better for more sales..
Hi! I know this item has been discontinued and I wanted to let you know that I have one for sale. I am located in Ballarat Vic 3350. I’d love it to go to someone who really really wants it!
Yes I have been through for 4 now and can’t find them how much do you want for it and it and is it brand-new
It was my dads it’s second hand but well looked after. He just wants $20 for it :)
Hey Jacs C, Not still available is it?
Please, Russell Hobbs, when will you make the Eco One kettle again? When you do, please accept my order for three. You can see how many people want them.
I have one for sale. Located in Ballarat
Hello Jacs C., Thank you for your message; I am interested. Is the Eco One you have for sale in new and unused condition? How much are you wanting for it? Have you any idea how much the postage and packaging would be from Ballarat to Mount Isa, Queensland? And how would I be able to pay?
Hello Jacs C., I answered you four weeks ago, but haven't heard from you. Do you still want to sell the Eco One you told me about? I am still interested. Please let me know. Lorraine, Mount Isa
Where can I buy this from plz
Unfortunately it’s been discontinued for quite some time.
I have one for sale!
My light has stopped can I fix it?
Probably not. Everything has a life. If the unit still works otherwise, you're doing well.
The unit is still working so is it ok to keep on using it thanks
Have you got anything that takes its place?
Where can i buy a RH One Cup Express in Melbourne?
Are they still in production
Email reply to [email removed]
Unfortunately they are no longer available. Russell Hobbs are no longer making them.
Yes they are no longer available. I replaced it with a Tefal Mini 2 cup which is great, see Product Review.
I have one unopened that I'm willing to sell. I live in BERWICK. :)
Why discontinue a great product ???? are there any other product like it ?
I have no idea. Perhaps you should direct the question to Russell Hobbs! (and the plural of product is products).
I speculated in my review that the price point may have been too high - RRP $50 or so I think. As for whether or not there are similar products I suggest you Google phrases such as "like Eco One Cup" or "one cup kettle".
I've found one other product recently which is similar, just bigger, but it held up to 750ml of water, so you didn't have to add water each time and also have a level on top so you can control exactly how much water comes out (whether it be a half cup or full cup).
It was sold at Aldi for $59.95 and was called Quick Cup Kettle, the brand is Ambiano.
Ended up buying one, they work well.
Russel Hobbs Eco 1 Cup Kettle price?
It only cost me around $15. Unfortunately, the place I purchased it from ran out of stock a long while back and can't get anymore, as Russell Hobbs doesn't make them any more.
The normal price at the time I bought mine was $49 I think, however they were on special at Harvey Norman for $15. This was back in August 2012.
Still looking.
How do I order one?
Wish I knew. The place I purchased from sold out and I haven't seen it for sale anywhere else. Apparently Harvey Norman used to stock this item, so it might be a good idea to pop into the local and see if they've still got any.
I have search high & low but unfortunately they are no longer available. I even wrote to Russel Hobbs but all the replied was that they are no longer manufacturing them. A real pity as these kettles are ideal for disabled and older people who have limited mobility.
Where can I buy one please? " desperate"
Unfortunately, the place I bought it from no longer stocks this item. I emailed them a couple of months back as I couldn't find it on their website anymore and that's what they advised me. I do believe Harvey Norman sold it once upon a time, though not sure if they still do.
I got mine from Countdown deals too - I wish I'd been smart enough to buy my next at the same time in case it ever gives out. I'm hooked, sad to know they aren't made anymore.
Unfortunately Russell Hobbs don't make them anymore. I even emailed them to say how disappointed I was that they have discontinued it.
How do I purchase?
Go to "countdowndeals.com.au/russell-hobbs-rheco.html". They are in Springvale an Footscray...good luck!
This Item Is Discontinued: Russell Hobb was selling this item at the RRP of $59.95 but because of bad sales the price was reduced and the item was discontinued. The remaining stock of the product was sold for $15.00 which was well below cost price and at a loss to the company. Countdown Deals has sold out of all the remaining stock and has now deleted this item from their website. I myself own this item and was sorry to hear it was not available anymore and would be happy to pay $20-$30 for a replacement. You may still find one, but as I've been told the chance of any old stock that's still available would be very rare and sold quickly. Good Luck.
Russell Hobbs eco one cup. Where can you buy it? How do you clean it? Can you make 2 cups?
I googled it and only found one supplier in Australia: countdowndeals.com.au I liked it so much I've since bought two others as gifts. I've had a good experience with all three purchases (too bad I didn't know in advance I'd want three and save on postage!). I read the reviews of others that cleaning could be a bit tricky so I only use clean filtered water and don't expect to need to clean it (its lid stops anything else getting in). We've put away our regular electric kettle - we tested and found it's quicker to make two cups with the eco one cup than estimating how much to put into the regular kettle and waiting for it to boil.
If the cleaning is a bit difficult, I think I would rather see it first. Not sure when I would be going to Australia next, so it might have to wait. Thanks for your reply.
Hi Rose, I've never had to clean mine and I've been using it every day for a couple of years now with Sydney tap water. I thought maybe I should clean it anyway and so I just dissolved 2 teaspoons of citric acid in a cup of water. Vinegar would do the same. Boiled the cup of water twice then followed with 3 or 4 cups of plain water.
Yes, it's so fast to boil that I found it no hassle at Christmas to make 4 cups of coffee, one after the other. It was easier than getting out the big kettle. And I have a small kitchen so it's more space efficient to slide it back under the shelf when I'm finished. If you usually just make tea for 1 person but occasionally have more people, this will still work well for you. I also got mine on countdowndeals.com.au
How much power does it take to run?
I don't have any way of recording how much power this takes to run, however it does take about 60 seconds to boil water for an average size mug of tea. I have tested the speed against a regular electric jug - estimating water needed for two cups of tea - and was able to make two cups with the Eco One Cup well before the water boiled in the regular electric jug.
Where can I get the Eco one cup kettle?
I got mine a few years ago at countdowndeals.com.au - I just checked the website now and they still have them. If you don't have luck searching for Russell Hobbs Eco One Cup Kettle Rheco in the search tab (I couldn't find it), just click on Small Appliances in the yellow tab bar above and it's there.
Are you able to bring this to travelling? is it dual voltage?
Hi Jezz my hubby is an electrician so I sent him a photo of the plate on the bottom & he said no its not unfortunately
Hope that helps :)
It's not dual voltage I mean.
