How are we to only use the air fry rack and function when any liquid drips straight onto the bottom elements and causes smoke?

Can a crumpet be toasted so that less radiated heat on one side to the other?? How would you rate it for toasting compared to one of your toasters ?? I have nearly given up finding a half decent toaster !!

How do I use it for roasting

Place food on shelf, set the centre dial to the bottom setting (one wavy line at the bottom of the picture), the top dial to the desired temperature and the bottom dial to the length of cooking time. Hope this helps. :)

We have bought this oven recently for my elderly mother. She is having problems with baking. It seems to burn the bottom and not cook the top. She is using the centre of the oven. Yesterday she cooked sausage rolls for an hour on 150 degrees. Top never coloured, bases ok. Any ideas?

I'm not sure. Which setting is she using? There are three: grill turns on the top element, bake turns on the bottom one and toast turns both on. She might be using the wrong one. Other than that, I don't really know, sorry. :/

Hi, I've just purchased the oven. Does the bake/grill timer knob move around the same way as the toast timer knob? If so, what am I doing wrong as mine doesn't. Thanks, Karen

The bake/grill/toast knob is just to select which of the three cooking settings you want. It's not a timer. On bake only the bottom element will work, on grill only the top and both work on toast. After adjusting that, set the bottom knob for cooking time.

How can the oven be used without the top elements coming on? When trying to bake the top of the food toasts before the middle is cooked. This is critical when attempting to bake a cake or make Yorkshire puddings.

The "Mode" knob has three positions: bake, grill and toast. Bake turns on the bottom element, grill turns on the top one and toast turns them both on. You must have used the toast setting. If you look at the "mode" knob, you'll see pictures with wavy lines corresponding to the three modes next to the settings. Pick the one with one wavy line at the bottom! Hope this helps you :)

Thanks for asking, Joe. I never thought to include technical data for some reason. Good idea! The temperature can be set from 100°C to 250°C, the timer goes from 0 up to an hour (10 minute increments on the dial for guidance) and there are three settings: bake, toast and grill. It also comes with a rack and a shallow tray and three levels that you can insert either of them into: bottom, middle and top.

Hi, I just bought the air fry oven RHTOV25. When it works , the indicator shows it works and it is hot, but the heating elements are not red anymore. Is it ok? Thank you!
