Sauber Pro Pets Questions & Answers
VerifiedSauber Pro Pets SF-100 has suddenly died. No power as it doesn't respond when it is turned on. Help? Is there a switch I can press? It is not an obstruction and nothing happens when hose is detached.
I cannot find bags for Sauber Pro Pets vacuum. Can some recommend a seller/product that will suit as replacement?
I’m down to my last bag
Google "vacuum bags for Sauber" - plenty of options.
What vacuum cleaner dust bags are compatible with Sauber Pet Pro SJ100
They are called Sauber Pro Pets Bagged Vacuum Dust Bags
Hi Helen I am looking for a compatible match as the Sauber Pro pets SJ100 are all out of stock since Godfrey's closed down here in Australia. Does anyone know of a compatible or generic dust bags that will fit?
I have had this vacuum for a year and it wouldn't suck the human hair how can I clean this, I did try cleaning but it wouldn't suck anymore.
Sauber Pro Pets Bagged Vacuum SJ-100 has been highly recommended and I am ready to buy a new vacuum cleaner BUT it seems it MUST be purchased from Godfreys. I/we have vowed and declared we would NEVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM GODFFREYS. (PORT MACQUARIE NSW) The last vacuum I bought from GODFREYS needed attention and their after sales service was APPAULING! Firstly, they rarely answer their phone. Secondly they make promises to contact you which is NEVER honoured! As for providing the required parts; forget it! Simply, Godfreys are NOT INTERESTED once they have your money! Unfortunately, if we cannot buy directly from the makers or somebody other than GODFREYS, we will be forced to find another brand. Therefore, would you please suggest another retailer?
I have had the The Pro Pets Bagged vacuum SJ-100 for approximately two years. Do not purchase this machine. The head constantly clogs with pet hair (I have one border collie) and sometimes two or three times in one vacuuming session. You soon get sick of unclogging with a chopstick and fingers or unscrewing the thing. The machine is way underpowered too. It is a ....dog.
thanks for the review Dave.
Ive got one. Its damaged my walls as its sides are higher than the skirting, it rolls over easily, the handle is a weak part which broke and, like Dave G said, its a prick to unclog. Apart from that, It has good sucking power.
The power cord will not pull out of my new machine - what is the problem?
Hi Frank, We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with the power cord. Please take the machine into your nearest Godfreys store, with proof of purchase, for this to be inspected and further assistance provided. Regards, The Godfreys Team
Problem fixed, just needed a twist
I recently bought this vacuum and after testing out the different attachments, I suddenly can't reattach the main powerhead (won't click in place). Feel stupid asking, but how can I do this?
Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to contact us. The rod should click in place into the elbow of the power head. Please ensure this is lined up straight and prongs are towards the back. Should issues persist, please take this machine into your nearest Godfreys Store with your proof of purchase to be inspected under warranty. Please see the link below to assist on locating your nearest Godfreys Store: external link Kind regards, the Godfreys Team
Hi there. I'm just wondering if I can get the cyclone filter wet to clean it or does it have to just be wiped down. I cant really find anywhere that says either way with this specific vacuum. Thanks
Hi Andy and Hayley, You can use a damp cloth to clean the cyclone filter. Please ensure that parts are 100% dry before reassembling the machine for use. Regards. The Sauber Team
Does anyone know what the status lights on the machine mean? There's nothing in the manual about them.
Hi Karen, The lights on the machine are indicative of the suction level and recommended suction level for different usages. As pictured, curtains, upholstery, rugs, carpet and hardfloor. Regards, The Sauber Team
This vacuum appears to be identical in some respects (floor head etc) to some of the Hoover models (even some of the photos in the owner's manuals are the same). Does anyone know whether it is a re-badged Hoover, or is the Hoover a re-badged Sauber?
Actually doesn't matter. After a bit of Googling it appears both Sauber and Hoover vacuums are manufactured by Chinese conglomerate Haier. Given their similarities it would seem they both pop out of the same factory somewhere in China.
Hi, The Sauber Pro Pets is similar to the Hoover Action series, however, there are some differences. Regards, The Sauber Team
Interesting question. The pipes are a different size. I bought a $10 reducer gadget fitted the other pipes I had. I think it would be similar to a Pet Hoover. That’s a really good pet vacuum cleaner too. Eight months on we love this Sauber! It’s not too noisy. We are careful to not suck up large items as it’s fiddly to disconnect the upper pipe fitting to remove them from the pipe. It does quickly get clogged up if bits of sticks, cobwebs etc are sucked up with the pet hair. I actually went into Godfrey’s to buy a specific pet Hoover, but it wasn’t being made any more. The equivalent model had a shorter power cord. That wouldn’t work in my house.
