Our experience building in the Latrobe Valley with Bethany Charles (Customer Relationship Coordinator) and Arron Bray (Site Manager) was outstanding from start to finish. Our experience with Simonds Homes has been incredibly frustrating due to misleading advice, lack of accountability, and poor customer service. During contract signing, we were advised by a Simonds representative to install a hot water point for outdoor dog washing, with the assurance that we could later add a mixer. discover later that this setup was fundamentally flawed - no cold water supply exists, making a mixer installation impossible. Additionally, we were later advised that even with a cold water supply the mixer would need to be attached to a vanity, wholly unsuitable for the needs we initially outlined and a ridiculous suggestion for an outside tap.

When we raised our concerns, we were met with dismissiveness and excuses. Another representative even admitted that the original advice was incorrect, yet Simonds has refused to take responsibility. Instead of investigating or providing a solution, they have brushed off the issue, leaving us to deal with the consequences.

This negligence has caused us unnecessary delays, additional costs, and immense frustration. Simonds Homes failed in their duty of care, and their unwillingness to rectify their mistake speaks volumes about their approach to customer service. We would not recommend them to anyone expecting professionalism, accuracy, or accountability.

builders in the past and we have never experienced such transparency, honesty and quality service from a building supervisor. I highly recommend Callum for senior managerial roles in the future as he is an asset to SIMMONDs Homes. As far as Bethany Charles, her constant reminders, reviews and follow ups plus her professional and effective phone communication is nothing short than exceptional. She, too, is a credit to SIMMONDs Home's mission to excellence in customer service. accommodate our questions. We had some ideas, but Aaron Wilson came up with solutions that best suited our needs. We know from experience that building a house is not without its challenges and hurdles to overcome. From the early stages of choosing which design and house plan to choose, and all the way to the post- construction stage, there are varied circumstances that could make the process complicated. But thanks to Arron B, Aaron W, and Emilia, they have done a marvelous job. Both Arron and Aaron went above and beyond in order to accommodate our requests and for that, we are grateful and appreciative of your effort. Aaron, Arron and Emilia were very professional in their manner and honest, which for us is a big factor. Personally, we appreciate honesty over false reassurances, so we know what to expect from the start, and how to manage or correct issues as needed. We have built houses in the past and by far, Arron Bray was the easiest to deal with as a site supervisor, and Simonds is very lucky to have him, he is truly an asset to your business. The only criticism we have was with the person working from home who was dealing with our case during the early stages of the building process. It was quite challenging to deal with her in terms of communication as most of the time she was unable to answer the phone during business hours. Overall, our journey with Simonds has been great! to attend to our questions, explained all works and gave all details and expectations at each stage. Bethany in the office kept us well informed as to the when & how during the build. We made 4 post contract additions which were at out request and billed accordingly and the actual quoted price remained unchanged. The quality of the build is very good and at our last inspection we only found 3 very minor problems that were fixed in minutes. Every day since moving in we feel so lucky to have used Simonds Homes, all the help we received was brilliant. It is an absolute pleasure to live in our new home.

Handover now complete. Adam took over as my SS and was so accommodating with my requests as my previous SS was made redundant towards the last month of my build. Terrible quality – Terrible don't even know where to start... brought a 18 month old simonds home and the issues I'm fi ding omg the supervisor and trades should be sacked. Areas that have had only one coat of paint. Timber trim missing between windows and cladding. Squeaky floor and the chippies have missed most joists when screwing down. with the door stops. Cement sheet underlay ran out past door stop in wet areas. Gutters with fall the wrong direction gutters full of builders rubble. Walls out of square and plumb. Hallways not even parallel. Lumps of plaster and glue felt through carpet as floor not scrapped. Terrible grout job tiles not flush on floor borderline if to code havnt measured yet. Paint quality is [Content Removed]. I'm sure this is just the starting point.

I've had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Emilia Gale (CRC) and David Melbourne (Site supervisor) with Simonds. Alex and Bethany have been looking after us really well. They replied fast and we had a smooth sail. We had to settle before Christmas and we did the handover prior to installing electrical equipment which was done in late January. All based on trust and we had no issues. Reliability is everything. Damian is an excellent site supervisor, he is incredibly organised and quick to respond to queries. The build has been stress free and the craftmanship cannot to faulted.
