Smith & Nobel SNSC65 Questions & Answers
I have a cracked in the ceramic bowl of slow cooker. Where can I purchase a new ceramic bowl
Hi all, we have recently purchased a smith & noble slow cooker. We found the low temperature may as well have been on high. I find there is now way I could leave a meal in there on low for 5 to 6 hours without being home to keep a close eye on what's happening. I though the whole idea of a slow cooker was to set your self up at the beginning of the day so it could simmer slowly during the day, and not end up with burnt dinner that's baked onto the sides line charcoal. Feel like we have been ripped off. Not happy Smith & Noble. Anyone else out having these problems??????
Hi there, I’ve not had this issue and I leave food in for 8+ hrs. I think it may depend on what you’re making, but meat dishes should be fine for the long haul. Is there sufficient liquid in your dish so it doesn’t dry out?
I've had the same problem Louise and I don't bother using it anymore. Waste of money. I ended up buying a cheap one from Aldi and it is the best!!
Yes I'm going to throw it out. On low setting it boils the food to charcoal. Waste of money. Seems like many other reviews are saying the same.
The recipes I've used say set it on high and cook for six hours but if my slow cooker is set on high boils the meat hence a dry result
Hi Kaz, i have heard unfortunately a number of years ago, the manufacturers of slow cookers raised the operating temperatures (due to concerns of food not being cooked properly). The result is they even boil on low. I found this out when i replaced my old one with the model you have. I'm afraid my only suggestion is to have it cook on low and have it as full as possible.
