The men when levelling the floor used a hand angle grinder. They should have employed a specialized floor grinding company. is extremely rude and unprofessional. However, the guys that laid the carpet were very good. We won't use this company again.

I had hybrid flooring put in by Solomons Flooring in Willeton WA. It was the worst experience and will never use that company again. The floor and scotia were laid. It took nearly three days. times to express my concern at the quality of the work and that scotia was coming apart and some of the areas that join from the floor onto the carpet, also some boards look as though the are lifting slightly and spongey to walk on. We did have the floor screeded before the laying of the boards. After a few months of no replies I rang the owner and he said he had not seen any emails. He said he would come and have a look. He came out, had a look and said ‘oh I don’t have scotia to fix that i will come back’. Never heard from him again. He did glue some scotia that was loosened but it has come away again from the skirting boards. I have since tried to contact Solomon’s carpets in Willeton WA and surprise surprise they’re closed permanently. The owner is a very good salesman but there is no follow up and the fact that you have to pay all the money upfront before the job is done is a con. You should be allowed to hold off a portion of the money until the work is done to highest satisfaction. We were also told by the business owner that the guys who lay the floor will move the furniture for us. When they arrived they said no that’s not our job. I feel it was anything for a sale. I have now gone to a different family based company and having the boards removed and new ones laid.

with nails sticking out and clearly visible. I was told by the installer they would be replaced, only to have found out he lied about talking to the store owner about getting new floorboards, and tried to hide it all with rough silicone. They left cigarette butts in my backyard and dirty walls. I have been dealing with [Name Removed] the manager but he hasn’t responded to any correspondence after the initial complaint. I also reached out to the State Manager but was told there was little they could do because it’s a franchise. I would recommend going somewhere that isn’t a franchise so there’s the ability to take complaints higher. The only way to get resolution with Solomon’s is to take them to QCAT.

Theft, delays and lies – Avoid at all cost. We had the flooring picked and scheduled to be installed in Feb. After chasing up for a few days, the installer (contractor) came and removed the carpets..only to steal my things. playing dumb on what happened and clueless on what was said to be done but not done.
After order cancellation, I have yet to receive the refund in full, which was promised. It is now May 2024. How hard can it be to refund 2k? Owner citing cash flow issue. If a business have cash flow issue and can't even refund mere 2k, then it is probably not a good sign. You probably won't get what you paid for.
Cannot deliver on schedule and poor communication plus dodgy contractor..avoid or engage at your own peril.

back to Solomons who suggested a floorer. They came and laid it and told us this wasn’t a simple floor and there’d been known issues. They did a good job but only a few weeks later we noticed the boards started to move. Well, 2 years later and it is awful. It’s spread, gaps everywhere and chips off the top layer. Absolutely devastating. Contacted Solomons 18 months ago and they blamed the person that installed it. It’s just getting worse and we’re now thinking of going to the ACCC.

couldn't do and then went on holidays to nsw. They gave me a replacement installer. Yes I can do 17 & 18 Jan Good i said. He was only at my place for 3 hrs on the Saturday and left. Half prep done. 2 rooms. Sent me the bill same day. Job unfinished to be paid same day. Ill be back Sunday. Txt at 5.45am. Sorry won't be there. Eventually the job was completed on the following Tuesday. I will never use or recommend again. Very disappointed

Booked to have flooring installed through Solomon's Midland (WA) but after removing the carpet, the installer found that the floor wasn't level enough. because he was meticulous in his work. Cleanup was excellent as were the communications with the Emma, the scheduler. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thomas and Solomon's.
Penrith Solomon - stay away from – I had hybrid flooring installed as well as carpet. Carpet no issues as such. The flooring is absolutely dreadful. Cheap and rubbish product. Lifting and gaps. Peeling. Only had installed for 17 months! Solomon Penrith - horrible experience. They manually cut around a drain in the laundry area and made an uneven messy cut. Horrible experience and left worse off – We explored in detail the option of hybrid flooring. We had a salesman come out and measure and inspect floors including taking the carpet up. On the day on install our carpet were ripped out and our installer advised they could not lay as floor was too uneven. This was the reason we had company out before hand to check. alternatives. The owner of the local store came out to come up with a “solution”. No solution was offered other than offering a full refund. He stormed out of our house with abusive language before we had chance to ask about the solutions available and regarding what to with the carpetless bare slab area his trades had left us with. We were not able to discuss any options. We didn’t want carpet where you walked into house but would have compromised other areas. We were left with cement floors and then in writing asked never to contact store again. We were refunded our full amount we had paid but were left off worse than we were before we had employed Solomons services.

Worst quality and most expensive – Plz do your market research before you go there. Once you sign the papers you are trapped. You will have to pay for at least 10% extra material and labour. Very poor quality finishing. They will fail to maintain schedule and will charge you $650 if you want to cancel the job because they failed to maintain schedule Show details
The Best – We have recently done our bedroom floor with hybrid vinyl. We are extremely happy with the results. The sevice was excellent, and affordable. We do highly recommend Solomans flooring team.

Perfect – Recently replaced all flooring in the house using carpet and hybrid. Ahjmal at Castle Hill was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Installation completed in 2 days and the tradespeople moved most of the furniture. Could not be happier with the result.

They went over and beyond to get us the exact carpet we wanted for the master bedroom with no extra charges and even got some underlay for free too. Couldn’t be any happier with the service. The carpet layer was on time and really professional, he even cleaned up once done and offered to take the old carpet away.
We’ve also got some carpet on hold for other rooms we want done in the near future and haven’t even paid for that yet that’s how awesome they are, I’d like to thank Solomon’s balcatta especially Glenn and Ricky for everything.

Just perfect – I'm very happy with the Solomon Stafford service. After a few quotes, I decided to do the service with them. The Customer Service was terrific. The flooring preparation makes a huge difference comparing with the other places I lived and my friends' floor. There isn't any noise when walking in. Just perfect service.
