VerifiedI have the Sunbeam kettle KE4410WG and to my horror the inside has rust around the base. I have always filled through the spout and never bothered to take the lid off. Will you please replace? Patricia King 0402157557

I bought this kettle from Myer in February 2020 and have noticed the paint is also peeling off. How can we rectify this?
Zeina C I rang the Sunbeam company in Sydney Australia and after eventually after a number of calls ( I am in another state) they said that the head boss would be getting back to me. I was offered a replacement but I said No and and that in my opinion that kettle was not fit for sale. They eventually said they were taking it off sale and I could gets refund. I told them I was doing that anyway but was concerned re health and I wanted information of the make-up of the paint. Actually my health problems still exist 13 months on so probably it was not the paint but I needed tell them in case it happened to others.
I noticed the paint had faded above the spout and had melted off. Then on further inspection I saw a lot of the bronze paint it in the spout. That especially worried me as it most likely would have been going into my cup, I later took it back to where I purchased it for a refund and I had already told the shop of the problem.
However, I really needed to inform the makers of the kettle of the problem and tell them that I believed the kettle was not fit for sale. Yes the Kettle looked lovely and I had also bought the matching toaster at the same time but I definitely did not want the kettle replacing. My toaster is fine. I would not advise anyone to purchase that kettle. I hope maybe this helps you.
Same thing happened to mine! I have had it replaced twice and the third is doing it. I’m returning both toaster and kettle because I wanted a matching set.
The paint keeps peeling above the spout. I think the steam is causing it. We have had it replaced not long ago but the colour on the handle is starting to blister again. Is this a design fault?
We purchased Sunbeam kettle 4410 from Harvey Norman (Joondalup) three weeks ago. This morning we set it going with the water just below 1.5lt mark but the kettle continued to boil & wouldn't shut off. We tried it again & the same thing happened. It would be dangerous if it boiled dry. What do we do now?
