Hi, I had my Sunbeam for 2.5 years and suddenly sometimes it doesn't switch on, sometimes while is working it goes fast by itself. It looks new and I always kept in the same spot. Is it worth it to get it fixed? Thanks Simona
Hi Simona I've got no idea. If you live in Brisbane, try Brisbane Appliance Centre. They charge a fee to look at it, then if you go ahead they take the fee off the bill. Melissa

Sorry Merie I only have the dough hook and whisk. Left the bowl and beater with repairers. You could try Brisbane Appliance Centre. Thats where I surrended my machine when I got the bad news of the repairs.

Hi Sunbeam, I have a Sunbram Planetray Mixmaster MX790W - 1053 problem when making pizza and bread dough when mixing it seems to get a mind of its own and goes at full speed and machine bounces allowall over the bench. After turning off and resetting can work okay for a time than take off again. Approx 2 to 3 years old. Any clues? Cheers Gerard
Hi when you hold the stainless steel whisk attachment in your hand left hand and the grey plastic top with your right should the plastic move around(twist)? I can't say i have noticed this when i have washed it before. It doesn't seem to be whisking like it use to either.

Yes I suspect it is the switch. That’s what happened to mine. Retailer just offered me replacement machine. It seemed to be a known common fault.
I have had my red Mx900R for 2 months now, my old Sunbeam that was 15 year old made the best pavlova.I have attempted 2 in my new Sunbeam and both terrible, what beater should i be using? very disappointing
Hi Jan, I would use the balloon whisk for egg whites. Make sure that the bowl and beaters are completely free from any grease or fats/oils. I have difficulty getting the bowl clean enough to allow the meringue to mount into stiff peaks. I ended up using metho and water to clean the bowl of any sneaky oils etc.

I'd start by looking at stockists or wherever you bought it originally. I'm not sure e-bays a great idea but only because I heard a horror story about a friend receiving the bowl that was slight dented the base. This effected its connection with the unit and it actually couldn't be secured so it was a waste of money. Seller said it was damaged in transit so my friend had no recourse.
You can get the bowls from good guys, myer and on the website. It is the same bowl as the mx9200. They are about $50 so I bought another 2. And another two beaters, whisks, scraper beaters
I have recently been given an MX7900 mixmaster for my birthday. I was over the moon, but slowly I have had more problems with it not mixing well on the bottom of the bowl. I just made a cheesecake and a big blob of cream cheese was still at the bottom of the bowl and hadn't mixed well at all. Is this a common problem?? Everything is attached properly!
