I've purchased and had installed a few weeks ago a SL102901SS-3 rangehood . It has a low and a high speed fan. The low speed fan is very noisy & I noticed when I changed the switch to the high speed there was hardly any difference between the two speeds. Is that correct? That there low speed fan is very noisy & sounds almost the same as the high speed fan? My previous Technika rangehood was quiet on low speed and noisy on high speed, so I don't understand why this brand new one is like this.

Hi Rachel...I have & I was told if incorrectly installed I'd be charged $140 for first 30min...How do I know if electrician didn't install it properly? Then i'd have to pay $140 but have nothing fixed at that point. I am thinking of seeing where one of these Rangehoods is on display so I can see if it has a noisy fan on low speed as a first step.
