What is the speaker quality like and also can you hear the phone ring tone when making a call as the Tough max was pretty low on quality in this area and sounded like it was under water. We use speaker phone alot and wanted to know quality of sound

I use the speaker during phone calls all the time when outside and it is as good as all the other handsets I have used. Better than many of them in fact. Since we are all working from home I use the speaker mode everyday for calls so I can type and use my laptop while on the calls and the quality of the calls is excellent and the support for Voice over WiFi is perfect for use everywhere you can get a WiFi signal and no mobile signal.

Thanks for that as we go offshore for work and need a quality phone we can use the external aerial on.

Be careful with using an external antenna in a wet environment. I checked with ZTE tech support as I wanted to use an external antenna on a motorbike. The phone is NOT IP67 if you open the external antenna connection port cover. The device is only IP67 with that cover CLOSED! Happy to forward the emails from ZTE about this.

Actually if you read the Warranty conditions in the user manual it states that the port covers have to be closed to meet IP67. Same clause is used on all the IP rated devices I have had.

Same as any other handset. What are you having trouble with?
