A high majority of mobile phones have inbuilt antennas If you want more fancy type mobile device models with it's likely going to cost heaps more funds for the industrial type waterproof cell phones besides , I would recommend against the so called Telstra tough mobile phones

I think you missed the point and are talking sounds like an AI answer do you know what a radio is? This phone( ZTE max tough t84)says in its manual that it has antenna port ! Do you know what that is even ? I am finding this whole antenna port blindness strange!

I would highly advise ditching both the pee poor quality build mobile devices and buy yourself some new. There's plenty of volte smartphones on the market though , would recommend the Samsung Or even better The apple IPhones say 10 or maybe even the 11 model unless interested in upgrading to a 5g android smartphone device model

Probably can but it won't work with Optus unless unlock The mobile phone technology device model from the Telstra network by calling The Telstra network company . Would highly recommend not to bother with the smartphone though As it's extremely poor quality especially the first one

There's plenty of similar mobile phones though, IT depends how much money want to spending. Blackview smartphones Sonim technology device models xp8 if you can afford it. If you want to take the cheaper option The locked zte smartphones aren't too bad for the price. Can also buy and use a waterproof sleeve for IT

The model is quickly made in poor manufacturing conditions. Would highly recommend to mob On to a better smartphone device model

Voice mail/text messaging is a service provided by most (if not all) mobile phone services Hence, I have not encountered a need to use the function you describe: "to receive and accept another call while already talking on the phone". Simply, because my mobile phone service provider (Telstra)., provides voice mail or speech to text messaging, which enables a calling party to leave you a message if you are already engaged on a call.

That said, the T84 uses a Google Android operating system.

I am not an expert on Android phones but the question you asked would also apply to all Android phones such as Samsung, LG, Sony, etc.

It is not recommended that you attempt to remove the battery, and to do so will void your warranty. This is a ruggedized phone so removing the battery is not a simple plug and play. The following description may be helpful

Unclip the aerial, SIM and memory card covers.

There are 4 screws that secure the back cover.

They require a 2mm hexagonal head key or preferably a T8H security key driver.

After removing the screws, the back cover can be removed by carefully prizing the cover off starting at one corner taking care to avoid damaging the water seal gasket.

When the cover comes off, it will also release the plastic buttons for the main switch, the light switch, the volume control, plus the SIM and Memory card covers. Take note of how they fit so that you can replace them correctly.

Once the back cover is off, you can see the battery BUT the battery is glued in.

It takes extreme care to prise the battery up and break the glue adhesion.

However, the battery connection is an even bigger challenge and attempting to remove it risks breaking the connector so at this point I decided to reinstate the phone, until such time as I can find a suitable solvent to release the glue

I have frequently switched my SIM card when I go overseas because Telstra roaming charges quickly mount up. On one occasion I did have a problem getting my ZTE T84 to recognise the new SIM - I switched back to the old SIM rebooted OK.

Then I powered down (you can't remove the battery you just switch the T84 off) reinstalled the new SIM and this time it was OK.

I can only suggest that making sure the SIM is seated properly before restoring the water proof tab may be a factor as my only thought at that time was that the waterproof tab may have held the SIM in but it was not making proper contact.

Hi there Di H. I have not encountered this problem unless out of range but I am aware of the sim card itself having problems. You might need a new one.

I'm having the very same problem with my T84. Telstra sim, Telstra phone... Go figure.
