Why does it run for so long after switching it off?

Hi, have a caprice mk3 oven in my caravan. On a recent trip the oven door fell off and it seems that the stainless steel welds have failed. Have tried to source a replacement door but to no avail. Please advise how I could get this fixed of replace the door. Thanks, Jon

Dear Sandra,,, I have not used my 'stove' in caravan for over 2 years now,,,but I would expect problems.. I have found oven ignition problems have occured simply from some rust flakes or some burnt cooking debri

in or around 'the element'. Best to seek advice from a trusted, licensed gas fitter...or else !

Thetford caprice mk111. We have had New catch for the door as opening when travelling THIS HAS NOT PREVENTED THE DOOR OPENING WHEN TRAVELLING. We had this problem on an Auto Cruise, now have the same problem on an Auto Sleeper Broadway. Any ideas how to stop this problem, or do we have to take the oven door off and store it while travelling.

Dear Annoyed, all I can suggest is to get 'Auto' to fix your problem,, (good luck with that) If you take the oven door off while travelling,, it will have to share the bed with the glass lid and the griller door! You will have to put the griller tray in your pot draw with the oven tray,,, although that may not work,, because,, in my case the pot drawer falls out while travelling also! At least you have not been blown up and no glass cuts on your feet.

Hopefully your stove is not, fan forced.. From this manufacturer, that would really be asking for trouble..
