Hi , i have a 2 stroke victa tornado whipper snipper , i start it on cold and then restart on warm runs great but when i put it on full throttle it dies out as no power when i tilt it but if its on the ground on full throttle it stays running , its driving me up the walls , i have put new carby on ot and new fuel lines , victa tornado whipper snipper straight shaft , please if anyone has gone through this and may give me a tip thank you haden
looking to change trimmer head , prob with a universal head, what thread size suits the head

Have a Victa Tornado TTB2226AC 2011 model, use Victa 2 stroke Oil. Lost ratio card , only use 3 litres of fuel. Mix amount please.
50ml of 2 stroke oil to 1 liter of unleaded fuel not E10 ethanol

I Recently got one second hand and i bought some parts on external link for the main components and the only thing it really needs now is the original Cast Alloy Head for the gearbox or gearcase end of things to be complete and i have looked everywhere from eBay to All Mower Spares they never seem to have them or run out of stock very quickly and does anyone know where i can find one and a good answer would be good too cheers.

What is the fuel and oil ratio
Without checking the manual (which I had kept, but can't find right now - bugger) it's 25: 1 the same as most 2 strokes. I did find when I first bought it that I had to get the mower shop to tune it, because it carried on like a hairy goat, and my tuning just made it worse.
Use a 40/1 ratio on the Victa or it will sputter and die let it warm up with choke on and slowly increase revs until good Togo turn choke ok once running ok. Let it idle for 3 minutes before reving it

Mine won't start, has fuel and spark but just will not start, tried everything another carby,new plug,new fuel, compression is good.Victa Model TTb2226 AC, whipper snipper.
are you sure you have not flooded it by accident as leaving the choke lever on for too long can result in flooding the engine as i know that one for a factor etc.
screw fuel screw to close it completely. pull to start for 1 minute so to burn all excess fuel, turn fuel screw half a turn anti clockwise. Pull to start, if not start release one more 1/2 turn of fuel screw. it should by now start

it,s actually 25:1 as 50:1 is light in oil and you,ll wreck your piston cylinder and rings as a result and i mix it by the instructions and i have not had a problem in using mine etc.

I found it a very poor unit I would not buy one again It has cost me a lot of money to fix and it was not even three months old

This Victa TTB2226 i had it for over 12 years and one time 2 months ago not start, changed Carburetor for A$20, air filter A$4.50 work well. one time start every time. Excellent Machine!!!!

Cannot find information on how to change air filter. I have the same problem as Kevin P. Can start and idle, but as soon as I apply throttle head fails to spin and then motor cuts out or cuts out even before I get a change to apply throttle. Any help?
Are carburetors for Victa Tornado TTS2230 and TTS2226 the same ? Will either fit to suit Tornado ? Have a Victa Tornado TTS2230 which requires either new diaphragms or new carburetor. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Machine will not start. Can buy a carby for a TTS2226 on EBay but nothing for a TTS2230. Machine looks good but as said will not start. If a TTS2226 would fit that may solve my problem. A was asking if a TTS2226 and a TTS2230 carburetor were compatible.
Did you ever respond ? Quite simple. Hopefully you may be Victa mechanically trained and could help.Have had a machine which is useless. Hate going to scrap metal but appears you are not prepared to assist in bringing a Victa whiooer snipper. Use a bit of brain and review. Not blind bulging science if you know your mowers.
Why does the inner flexible shaft bind and force the lower casing out of the connection.the shaft is well lubricated-a curious problem making it unusable-any suggestions?
