Our experience with Weeks has been fantastic. Each stage has been handled so professionally and with care to address any issues along the way. Particular thanks to our Sales Consultant who help to design a home that reflected our needs. Also our Project Coordinator who diligently took us through every stage. Finally our site manager who works… Read more ·  1

Worst builder ever! Stay away! I built my home with them a while back and 15 years later we are still finding faults with the build. I could write pages of all the initial problems we had but the worst part was that they built the house and foundation too low and then we couldn't connect to the sewer mains. They then tried to pass the blame onto… Read more

me and told me I would need a pumping station to pump the sewer water to the sewer mains. After 2 years of batteling with them over this, we finally came to a resolution and they had to pour a second foundation to lift the house. This cost them alot of money and so now we are finding problems where they have tried to recover that money. Examples like not using a primer on all walls and so the paint is now flaking off the gyprock. They did this because at the time of handover you can't see that a primer is not used. Another problem we have found is that they have put no insulation in the walls and so our home does not meet building code. Again they did this to recover some money and who can see if insulation has been used or not???? We have removed gyprock at some point and worked this out. I have even used a camera to look down the walls and have found no insulation. I could possibly take them to court over this but I need to find the time and energy. I know they will put up a fight and say anything to get out of responsability. In the end don't build with them you will basically pull all your hair out due to the stress. Also don't believe the positive reviews they have as there are businesses that buy reviews for exchange of money. I know this because I run a business and have been asked for money in exchange for good reviews by businesses that run out of India and china. I know several people that have built with them and it was nothing but trouble and dishonesty. Do yourself and your mental health a favour and pick anyone else but Weeks building group.

Hassle Free | Cant wait to move in!! – From our initial discussions with Sales through to Construction, our interactions with the Weeks Building Group has been first class. A big thank you to the selections staff who helped nail the colour palette. The construction team were great, in ensuring the smallest of details were met to our expectation. Would happily recommend to friends and family. Show details ·  1

Delighted with our Weeks' home – When we sat with the consultant on our first visit and described our needs in a home, the consultant was able to immediately show us a Weeks' design that required very minimal altering to perfectly fit what we described. OK builder – It all started with the initial suck in from the sales rep at the display house. [name removed] was fantastic and helped us create our plans from scratch. He was brilliant with designs and the process of changing things was brilliant. We were advised 12 months max for the entire admin and build process.... Not sure why I believed them. months post the preliminary contract signing, the administration component was finally finished and the build could start.

Four different site supervisors and so many mistakes along the way with scheduling works and construction issues. It started with the steel frame being manufactured incorrectly and a few weeks of delays there, followed by windows being another two weeks late. The plasterers were busy with other jobs which put the kitchen and painters behind by around four weeks. Somehow after annoying the site supervisor [name removed] who was the 4th poor bloke to take on the job he got the job done. [name removed] was an absolute superstar and so approachable with concerns.

We made it for a handover on November 10th and so far things have been good. We have a relatively long list of things to be done on the maintenance list but its early days.

A few of the terrible things which have really irked me. The builder was contracted to do our concrete perimeters but not to remove 'soil'. However the builder brought in a ridiculous amount of fill after the slab went down for wet weather and now I am left with tonnes of dirt/gravel out my front yard which is costing me to dispose of. What they brought in didn't even help with the 'wet weather'This is in addition to the massive pile of dirt left in my backyard even after being billed thousands for soil removal for the footings. Also have so much rubble and rubbish which has been left behind. I have learned do not use builders to 'remove' soil. The rainwater tank was delivered the day of handover and left in the garage as it was too big to get through to the back yard. We only managed to get it through my neighbours hallway (lucky I have some amazing and caring neighbours) In our selections we explicitly stated time and time again the style of bench tops we wanted and this was confirmed by the selections consultant when going through the document however what was written was not as we were told it was and now we are stuck with a bench style I hate and have to look at everyday. Jag kitchens were rude in the selections appointment and the quality of their work is extremely disappointing. The sales rep was pushy with trying to upgrade and the arrogance was overwhelming. On our contract it says we should have a grundfos pump but we were supplied a pump with inferior specifications but apparently this is ok as the builder can change their mind about products they supply.

All in all the build was ok and the issues are still likely to surface, like cracks and bubbles in the gyprock which are starting to show now.

A big thanks to [names removed] though as they were exceptional.

Update 28th Feb So our maintenance hasn't even been completed over 3 months since moving in and after repeated attempts to contact Weeks about some issues I am getting extremely frustrated. Making it past the woman at reception on the phone is near on impossible. Promises for calls to be returned don't seem to happen. Hoping to get everything resolved and then could possibly update from a bad star rating.

And the amount of holes around for ants to get in. WOW! they have come in from basically every window now.

Don’t waste your time, money or mental health! – I could write pages of why you should not ever build with Weeks, but here is just a summary; - Were told ‘plans were approved and ready to go’ but weren’t... - These ‘approved plans’ didn’t even meet the Australian standards - Signed our contract July 2018, still waiting for handover in March 2020 - Poor customer service from everyone.… Read more

Lies/broken promises from the sales consultant. Rude receptionists. Incompetent electrical managers. And when you ask to speak to someone higher about any issues, having dealt with an absolute ... of a (former) CEO. No wonder the owner has now sold his interests in the business, I’d want to jump ship too if I were him!

- With limited communication from the builder, and the crap experience we had with the administration process, we hired a building inspector to ensure the house was in fact ‘handover ready’. The building inspection report came back with 42 issues, including the toilet not flushing which we deem not habitable.

Seriously, save yourself the time, money and stress of this joke of a company!

Edit: The above review was our experience with old management and can see that new management have made a genuine effort to hear our story.

Worst builder i have ever met. Only chasing up for money. Change their words for the sake of their benefit – Please do not waste your time and money for this sort of a dodgy company. I am telling from my experience. Weeks has a very tactical approach to grab the customer. nothing. Then ask to pay another $3000 in the PDA 02 stage to confirm the actual price of the quotation. Now you do not have a choice, you have to go ahead with them by agreeing what ever price they confirming because you have already paid $5,000 and signed the contracts. And you cannot go to another builder as well because weeks keep the copyrights of the plan even it your own design. [name removed] was our consultant. Was not a good experience for us. Wasted our time & money both. We paid for PDA 01, which includes the soil testing as well. They refuse to send the soil report as well till we pay another $3000 and enter to PDA 02. Customer caring is less than zero

Never build with Weeks, slow, unprofessional, – Updated on 08/04/2020 after Weeks reply, To Weeks reply: Now recent photo about bay window posted, so what? They are just crap, you want fresh one, take it. Also, I add some more photos. 1. My point about bay window is why no one discussed the bay window in the first place, even no mention for the selection options. It is brick veneer building in… Read more

contract, now you give us just a panel as a part of external wall? No specific drawing in the construction plan? Your own site manager was surprised when he first saw the white panel. When I talked to your customer project coordinator why no one talked to us in first place, she just repeat site manager’s words, what was that for? If site manager can answer me, why I ask her? How stupid to waste my time? However, your reply still argues on if this is latest photo? So you put some colour and render, Weeks become the best building company ever? Your action didn’t answer my question and not make a big change for me. We still unhappy with that, we have to accept it because we need to move in. Now it becomes your “strive for customers”? Your site manager even asked me to not put the render thing on maintenance request. 2. “We remain committed to you as our customer and we are always available to discuss and resolve your concerns with you directly.” This is so funny, I have sent the same feedback through your own survey system half year ago, no one contacts me. now you call me just few days after I posted this on product review. That is your commit? And if you really want to resolve my concerns directly, do your homework first, check information I sent before, I don’t want to repeat again and again when the upper position or upper upper position call me. You guys keep saying you will resolve the problems one person by another, and waste my time to repeat again and again, then nothing changed. 3. Your concreter don’t know how to use a proper sign to secure the wet concrete? How unprofessional? 4. The lights on brick piers in front, they are even not in a line, no one know how to use a spirit level? 5. Crack about 5mm width in the perimeter path concrete in less than half year. 6. Those make us wait for half year, (pantry tiles completion, mortar for window sill) still waiting.

-------------------original------------------

First of all, too slow, first talk in 2017, finished in 2019, now waiting for maintenance, probably another year.

list few things, 1. waiting for the preliminary agreement for three months with no respond, then we just walked in the headoffice, they did that in 20 mins.

2.kitchen, they know to do a dishwasher provision, but don't know doing a hole on the panel to get wires and pipes to the outlet and drain under sink?

3.concrete for drive way and perimeter path, first time build the concrete into my neighbor's property, and leave debris in neighbor's property, also no proper way to secure site after pouring concrete, visible tyre marks on the ground. so unprofessional.

4. Electrician, first time tell us the first down light of hall way can not be installed because the roof truss, asking us to choose surface mounted light or hanging pendant one, we choose hanging pendant one, few days later, he did a surface mounted light. alright, we send email says it is fine, but few days later, he change that to down light. is that so fun for playing with clients? My fridge is about 1.8m, he knows to install powerpoint under 1.8m from floor, so it can be hide from fridge, but why he did water connector 2m from floor? the site manager says it is standard. LOL.

4. one maintenance guy were doing "something" with his belt off in my walk in pantry, reported to site manager, but no follow up.

5. selection team, we did say to remove robes in bedroom, but robes' walls, they still remove the walls in our final plan, and credit money back only robes. No mention about the stupid whtie panel would build above bay window, or even saying there is any options could install above the bay window.

6.payment team, the only team doing job quickly, they always asking for money on time, even the construction is not total completed.

7. site manager, never believe them, they said they would fix things, after all, they will "forget".

8. customer project coordinator, i still dont know what is this position doing? keep passing massage between site manage and me? it was something site manager can't solve, this guy still not to find the right department, keep talking nonsense.

9. maintenance team, slow respond, poor quality work.

10. all those are just small part of the whole work, now we know why they build so slowly, it makes you forget lots of issues they have after a long long time.

Never build with WEEKS. they just sucks.

Excellent customer service but a lengthy process – We have listed key pros and cons to building with Weeks below, noting that we have only just completed the slab pour and are therefore can only really comment on the administration process at this stage. Pros: - Our customer service rep ([name removed]) has excellent customer service and is very responsive. [name removed] always provides… Read more

detailed answers instead of just pointing you to a document. - All of the staff that we have dealt with have been very knowledgeable. - At this stage (post slab pour) our contract pricing hasn't changed significantly (only by a couple of $1000) - Our sales consultant ([name removed]) was very knowledgeable and designed us a home that was in our budget (taking into consideration future upgrades that you usually wouldn't make until the Selections process) which meant that there were no nasty financial surprises during selections - Our Selections Consultant followed up all of our questions and did her best to grant all of our requests and when she couldn't, she came up with an alternative solution.

Cons: - We started the administration process in December 2018 and were told that the whole process from beginning of administration to handover takes approximately 12 months. It's now December 2019 and we have only just started the build which means that it will take at least 18 months total before we move into our home. Weeks should either improve the expectations that they set for their clients at the start of the process or change something internally to make their administration process more efficient. For example, sometimes during the selections process it took up to a week to hear back when we had a query due to lack of appropriate resourcing. - There are several points of contact that you have throughout the process which Weeks should make clear at the start of the process (again, to set expectations).

I'll be updating this review post construction and hopefully the quality of the build will be so good that it outweighs the cons above (as obviously the build is the most important part).

to our queries the same day even if it was after work hours/during her non-working days. We did have problems getting the council approval. [Name Removed] went extra mile and spoke to the council planners multiple times to get it sorted. But, one thing we felt was Weeks could have come up with a solution a bit sooner to get the council approval rather than going back and forth with the council. This took 3 months. Apart from that we did not have any other issues. [Name Removed], our project coordinator always gave us honest timelines. He has always kept his promise. He would give us a call and explain our questions in detail and makes sure we are happy with it. He also prioritised our process (as we were getting pressure from land vendors to settle) to make sure the bank pack was sent on time. [Name Removed] gave us realistic timeframes to expect but has always delivered a bit sooner than expected. He said the construction works will commence only in 2020 after the break, but our construction has begun already, and the slab is expected to be poured before Christmas break which is exciting. We also had a very good experience during our selections process. We loved all the products. [Name Removed] was very polite and patient to answer all our queries during and after the selections process. She gave us nice ideas and suggestions. Looking forward to the full build and getting our home!

Worst Building Experience EVER – The process took longer than 2 years in total and this company's ethos is proudly deceptive and lacking any sort of professional integrity. he never made contact from long before construction even started! We chose Weeks because of the thermoloc product and the well designed floorplans but never imagined what was to follow. We had a soil report already completed so that there would be no nasty shocks as is the "norm" for builders. They then quoted for the slab work prior to us making further payments. The time finally arrived to sign the official documents after several payments had now been made and then we met our next "professional" - [name removed] - a nasty little individual who told us that we would have to pay an additional $30,000.00 for the foundations of the 2 homes in spite of the engineers report that was in the possession of Weeks. Unless we agreed, we could walk away and then lose all monies already paid - he's a real piece of work and not to be trusted AT ALL!!!!! They offered a service to select a colour choice and thus avoid all of the normal nonsense of selections because their designer has done it all for you. We chose this "simple" format and were sent documents to sign and return by the Holder woman - another great example of the company ethos being expressed in their workforce. A week or more later we were contacted by [name removed], a more senior person who advised that all of the documents signed were wrong because they had mistakenly sent us the specifications for Victoria and not South Australia. The SA specs were inferior to the Victorian specs and we would have to sign correct documents before the process could continue further - the threat utilised at EVERY stage of the process where things weren't right! There were many delays during construction and a number of times they thought that changing specs would be ok like electrical work that they told me was changed to align with new laws - that of course turned out to be utter nonsense and the specs had to be followed! A new customer service person arrived on the scene early in 2019 and an automated email introduced her with a note advising that she would make contact in the next few weeks - the McLean woman has STILL NEVER made contact and the homes are now finished! This same woman sent the emails when payments were due and the last email in early August 2019 advised the homes were nearly finished and to prepare the final payment. Handover took place 16th October and then being able to move in took a further 2 MONTHS with the finished product representing the worst group of tradesmen. Never ever use WEEKS!!!

There are much better building companies out there – We are disappointed with most of the process and some of the final result. While we are happy with the structure overall, there were many unsatisfactory things too. I'm going to focus on negative things in this post, because that is what will be most useful to readers. At the contract signing and building design stage, we felt rushed and that… Read more

things were not properly explained. When I asked questions I was told by the sales consultant that I was 'pedantic'. In hindsight, we should have insisted on being allowed more time to understand and tweak the design (we would have been happy to pay an hourly rate for this).

After contract signing and selections, Weeks took months (the irony is not lost here) to get the bank pack ready. It wasn't ready by the the date we were supposed to get finance approval. By this stage we could see how hard it was (and how long it took) to communicate with Weeks - typically four weeks to get a response via email. We wanted to pull out. They hadn't started any part of the build. We had gone past finance approval date (due to their delays), which was a clause in our contract to leave without penalty. Yet they said they would not allow us to leave without them keeping 10 per cent of the project cost ($40K) or meeting us in court.

We have full time jobs and young family. We didn't have the energy to fight. And this is the problem with Weeks. They know this. They are focused on making money - I have my own business, so I understand this basic fundamental need of businesses, but money should sit alongside caring for your customers, being able to put yourself in the customer's shoes, which Weeks absolutely does not.

Fast forward two years (they said it would take 9 months to build but due to multiple delays on their end - change of site supervisor three times, one contractor going to jail, etc, etc.) and we move into the house. Instantly there are problems. The floorboards creak something terrible. The noise wakes up people sleeping downstairs. Weeks comes out along with someone from Supaloc to find the problem - one of the contractors used screws that were too long over the entire top floor, and every time you walk and a screw touches something, there is loud cracking and creaking (enough to make you sit bolt upright when you are sleeping downstairs). They say it's too expensive for them to replace or cut down all of the screws. So since moving in (10 months) they have sent out a contractor three times to access the screws by making manhole-sized holes (we've had six holes cut out so far) in the ceiling from the ground floor, and cut the screws he can reach. Of course, this doesn't fix all the creaking because there are several screws he can't reach. We're left with uneven and disfigured ceilings downstairs due to all the holes being cut out, replastered, and repainted. And we're feeling ill because the screws can't all be reached, and we know we're going to be left with a creaky house that cost a fortune but sounds 50+ years old.

The cavity sliding doors. All have come off their hinges. We can't close the doors to go to the bathroom and have a shower (the doors get firmly stuck and won't slide, and paint peels off them). Weeks's response? It's a product fault and not their responsibility. Their contractor fixed the problem once but apparently this is going to happen over and over again because it's a fundamental problem with the product.

The outdoor tiles. The quality of the tiles (which we selected from a range offered to us by Weeks in the Studio Package) is such that they have chipped in 20+ different places. Weeks said they are Australian minimum standard tiles and they are under no obligation to replace them. Therefore they won't replace them - we are stuck with a front porch covered in chips - and it's only been 10 months so it's going to get worse.

There are several other problems that I won't go into. The point is that if you choose Weeks, you are choosing a company that purely exists to make money. They will cut corners on product quality and won't tell you they did. Before you laugh, that's not the only reason companies exist - many people have a company because they love the industry they're in and want to create great homes - I urge you to find them! Go for word of mouth. Even if a highly recommended builder is slightly more expensive, it's worth it in the long run. We turned down other companies that were only $10-20K more and regret it now, because in hindsight we can see that they showed more care and better quality products even at initial meetings. And a Google search of them (e.g. Metricon impressed us a lot) brings up much better reviews of their services.

The standard line from Weeks when you ask them a question? "Oh that's Australian minimum standards." In other words, they do not care whether a product actually suits its purpose, but whether that product meets minimum standards and will provide them with a profit. It's worth understanding that this is their philosophy.

Stress free build above expectations – The build was a relatively straight forward process. The process prior to the build commencing seemed long, but once they began building it happened very fast. The selections process was smooth and the suppliers were all helpful and knowledgeable in their areas. This was helpful as we needed some input in certain areas such as colour schemes. workmanship and quality of the property has been very good with only a few minor issues following handover. To Weeks credit they have been fast to fix any problems identified. A special mention to [Name Removed], [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] who helped us through the process and were regularly in contact to give us updates and keep us in the loop with progress. The overall cost of the build was very close to the estimated costs, the only variances were upgrades that we chose to add on. Overall extremely happy with the outcome and process. I would highly recommend to family and friends wanting to build to get in contact with Weeks Building Group.

First Build = Excited, so far so good! :-) – We are building our first home and were recommended by our friend to build with Weeks based on his positive experience. We were referred to [Name Removed]. We were very pleased with her professionalism, knowledge, invaluable input and answers to our many many many questions! She was absolutely amazing to point out things we didn’t think of and… Read more ·  1

ideas that would benefit what we wanted. This part was quite straight forward, we liked one of the plans Weeks had and modified easily to fit our block. With [Name Removed] knowledge of the area (encumbrances) and inclusions we wanted – the drawing stage didn’t take long.

During the admin stage we had [Name Removed] who was extremely prompt in responding and always a delight to talk to. He followed up on ETAs and gave us updates in a timely manner. He was also very helpful in finalising our contract and understanding with our requests. The suppliers were very easy to deal with and made the selection process seamless. We were quite happy with the inclusions and in total only spent an additional $5k on upgrades.

Our slab was poured on the 5th of September and we are currently waiting on the framing to be delivered. So far the process has been quick, easy and painless. Our site contact is [Name Removed] and based on the reviews we look forward to working with him and overseeing the remaining stages.

Wonderful Builder, prompt and thorough – Weeks have been a wonderful builder for me, I am currently commencing the build after about 6 months of administration work. Weeks was with me the whole time, answering any and all of my queries, checking up on me often and helping plan my dream home. I initially had an issue when first starting on my land selection however, [Name Removed] quickly… Read more ·  1

and amazingly handled it with an even better result. [Name Removed] was my admin manager and has been very helpful, always returning my calls and emails promptly and always answering my questions even when I repeated them every week as i'm so forgetful. The final cost was expected with a bit more added on due to the extras I had added during the selection process. I would recommend weeks to my friends, family and the public. I have some friends building with other builders and haven't been as lucky as me during this process.

Great Team – Weeks have worked with us to subdivide and commence the build of our dream home. They have managed the subdivision process for us and turned our initial ideas into a working design. All their consultants have been professional and helpful particularly in the "Selections" process. Our slab has now been poured and we are looking forward to the rest of the build Show details ·  1

A very happy customer! – Admin stage took a while initially, I felt quite anxious that this process would drag on forever however once selections took place it was a matter of 'WEEKS' before we started at site. [Name Removed] assisted me through the selections process and her insight was invaluable. I really appreciated how quickly she understood the style/vibe I was… Read more ·  1

Beautiful Home by weeks – We have only just moved in to our new home. It took a longtime to design and complete. Weeks were professional, accommodating and understanding with the entire build process. Site manager was good, however sometimes would not respond to our calls or messages. He would also seem unaware of some things that were important for us. We seemed to be… Read more ·  1

reminding him of a lot of things that needed to be done. Good bloke though. Build quality was excellent as we got the studio selection and they included a alot of things for us. We have several issues that need to be addressed by weeks and we are waiting for them to action them. They were quick to respond and reassure us. Final cost came slightly over due to footings costs but everything else was spot on! I guess with every build there tends to be unforeseen issues but we learn from them. I can definitely recommend week building group. cheers Franck.

Weeks - Can't fault them! – We have just moved into our new Weeks home and are extremely pleased with how the house has turned out. Weeks - End Product – We have been very happy with the New Build of our first home. The workmanship has been good for the most part and any areas that needed to be fixed up or adjusted were done so in a timely manner. Weeks has generally been quite an easy company to work with apart from a few small hiccups along the way. This includes some information not being… Read more ·  1

properly provided during the selections process, confusion around who is required to pay for moving soil, damaged cross over etc and the concreter's making a mistake with colour (which they rectified). Most issues were resolved quickly and effectively which was great.

Other then this, we have been extremely happy and have found our building supervisor to be particularly helpful, approachable and quick acting which has made things so much easier.

The final cost was greater then the original price by around $18k due to the need for deeper footings, a sump pump and paying for the crossover however most of this cost was explained prior to construction.

We have been really happy to work with Weeks and will definitely consider them for future builds.

Quality Build at a Fair Price – We were in two minds whether to renovate and build. We had meetings with various builders, and found that Weeks we the most helpful throughout the initial process. As a result we decided moved forward with building our new home with Weeks. Upon receiving quotes from various builders it was clear that Weeks included more in their initial price… Read more ·  1

but also the scope of works were clearer. We knew what we were getting ourselves into.

The selections process was streamlined and simple to understand.

If you spend some time looking at the plans and the selections you have made, then there shouldn't be too many surprises.

The construction phase was smooth as well. There were a few times where we required changes and the site manager and site office made these happen quickly, in the most cost effective way. Our site manager (Peter), was flexible and able to assist us throughout the build. There were a couple of trades which were a little hard, however the site manager sorted this out quickly.

The construction time, was a longer than expected however it was mainly due to building over the Christmas period which caused delays with trades as they were on holidays.

Our initial quote from Weeks did increase somewhat from when the final selections was undertaken and the contract was signed. However, from when the contract was signed, our net variations payable to Weeks were minimal (below $2k). Most of the variations to the contract price, were due to us changing our minds rather than the builder adding unexpected extras to the cost. I suspect every build may be different, but we had a good experience in this case.

We are happy with the quality.

There a few minor items which need rectifying which the Weeks maintenance team are attending to.

Weeks - Highly Recommended! – I am extremely happy with my decision of building with Weeks. After a few disappointing meetings with other building companies, I followed a family member’s recommendation and visited a Weeks display village. professional service - [Name Removed] (Building Consultant), who expertly answered my many questions, provided extremely valuable design and building advice, and made the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free; and [Name Removed] (Customer Project Coordinator) for his effective direction in navigating through selection/building timelines, prompt and highly informative feedback, and ongoing support well into the building process.

So far, I’m impressed by how quickly construction has progressed since slab pour. [Name Removed] (Building Site Manager) has kept me informed of progress with frequent updates, and at this point I am very happy with the quality of the construction and the builder's attention to detail. I cannot wait to see the final product!

Ask for all the agreements and read well before proceeding – Do not sign anything with them before doing a lot of homework ask for a copy of the pda stage 1, 2 and their csa agreement, read them well, if you have your own design they will try to take ownership of it at every stage. I took my design to them and struggled at every step with their manipulative and unfair agreements. At every stage they tried… Read more

to take ownership (steal) my design. The pda part 1 was the start were they tried to claim ownership of my design, I argued with them and said I would only proceed if I owned the design. They agreed in writing but when I went to sign the agreement it was still not modified. I had to hand write this into the agreement, all along I got the trust ‘us’ line.

After proceeding to the end of this stage they refused to hand over documents I had paid for saying I would only get them if I signed a contract with them, alarm bells started here. After stating it was a deal breaker for me and being prepared to walk away they eventually provided this to me.

The next stage pda2 had clauses that allowed them to keep all documents if I did not sign the contract, this would have costed $5k to get to this stage ( I did not proceed to this stage). The next stage contract services agreement CSA is the kicker, this is while they prepare the contract, this has clauses that state if you decide not sign, or you exercise your legal cooling off rights then they can claim, on top of the $5k they already have, an unspecified administration costs plus profit margin. Again all these costs and nothing to show for it.

I stated I would not proceed, all I wanted from each stage is what I paid for nothing more nothing less. The sales manger took this to the CEO who refused. I then decided not to proceed.

I have since received an email from them claiming they own copyright on all documents created by them and I can not build using these docs. Needless to say I always I’m very glad I amended the initial pda and did not trust them.

I need to say however that if you use one of their designs then they should be able to protect their design and this would be fair. If you have your own design look elsewhere for a custom home builder who won’t try to steal your design.

You should also be aware that weeks are inflexible when it comes to supplying your own items such as the kitchen appliances weeks would not allow this, they said it had to happen after handover.

Be aware of weeks. They value profits over having any honesty, integrity or trust with the customers they make these profits from.
