Freezer won’t stop running,food rock hard and freezer constantly running

The defrost timer in my JR522V is faulty. There is no power supply to the evaporator fan from the timer causing the fridge not being cooled. The timer is situated inside the light housing in the fridge section. There are no screws or visible clips that hold the housing. Looks like it is secured by some kind of internal fixation. Any one knows howthe remove the light housing? I know how to fix the problem but I can't access the faulty part. How fustrating!!! Thanks for any input. Tony

Have the RJ523V, freezers working fine but fridge isn’t cooling our food and drinks & I just bought groceries.. very upsetting and worrying!! No noise of fan coming from fridge or cold air as it usually does.. any help please? (Have already turned off the fridge for 10mins and turned back on but no change)

I have an RJ522V-R which I bought new in 2004. Like most of the review comments I have read, the door hinge has collapsed and when I rang Westinghouse regarding I was advised that the unit is discontinued and a new door is not available . Best solution is to buy a new fridge! The fridge has given good service for most of its life apart from this hinge problem. If I do consider buying another Westinghouse ( or other models made by Westinghouse - Electrolux etc) can you tell me if the problem of the door hinges on later models has been rectified. If not I will have to look at other makes. Your prompt reply to my query would be appreciated as I need to get a new fridge. Also can you provide the individual freezer and fridge capacities of the RJ522V-R so I can get a similar size.

Power trips and stopped the fridge and started again and it's runs for couple of hours and trip the power again

SAme hinge problem as all the others DO not suppose Westinghouse would send me a new bottom hinge so I could fit it

Same thing happened to my fridge. The door fell off nearly missing my foot. Door was laden and heavy. Could have injured me. Could severely injure or kill a small child. Why is Westinghouse ignoring this? Are they waiting for a serious accident to happen, and to be sued? I emailed customer care (laugh) , they never had the courtesy to respond. Disgusted.

I own a Westinghouse Model RJ522V-R refrigerator and having problems with the fridge door lower hinge – as have a lot of other owners after searching on line for a solution.

From the responses people have received from Westinghouse (Electrolux) it looks as though I will have to repair the hinge myself.

You may be wondering then why I have bother to contact you – well I would just like you to know that I will be very reluctant to purchase anything from Westinghouse/Electrolux again, and will be advising my friends to check on line for reviews/comments on products from Westinghouse/Electrolux before purchasing.

How do adjust the door height on a Westinghouse RJ522V- L fridge/ freezer there doesn’t seem to be any adjustment screw or nut?
