Hello everyone, i got One of these and i love it, but now i got a door message when i close the door and try to program it. Sometimes the count display starts working but microwave does not work. Can you help? Thanks.
Did you find out if it had anything to do with the "Start Protection / Child Lock" as detailed on page 8? __ START PROTECTION / CHILD LOCK. __ THIS AUTOMATIC SAFETY FUNCTION IS ACTIVATED ONE MINUTE AFTER the oven has returned to “stand by mode“. (The oven is in “stand by” when the 24-hour clock is displayed or if the clock has not been set, when the display is blank). __ THE DOOR MUST BE OPENED AND CLOSED e.g. putting food into it, before the safety lock is released. Else the display will show “door“.
how to preheat microwave oven?
Hi Prexy, You can only preheat the microwave oven when using the Grill function. You will need to insert the Crisp Plate, select the Grill function and adjust the time. Once completed remove the Crisp Plate with the Crisp Handle and place your food item on the plate. Proceed by putting the Crisp Plate with desired food back into the Microwave and select the Crisp function again to finishing the cooking/crisping process.
Kind Regards,
Whirlpool Team
If you're referring to pre-heating the fan-forced-oven mode, please refer to page 18 of the manual. It is called Quick-Heat Pre-Heat and is used only when the oven is empty. external link external link

Keeps on flashing light got water in somewhere when I was cleaning my microwave. What’s the problem
Hi Briand, It is difficult to determine the issue without seeing the microwave. It would be best to give Arisit Technical Support a call on 1300 762 219 to see if they can recommend a solution. Regards
Hi there. I have a Whirlpool Jet Chef Premium. I would simply like to know how to cook a frittata please. Would like a site where people looking for recipes for this machine, besides what is in your manual, can share their successful recipes please.
Would i be able to use the forced air function to dehydrate food?
I wouldn't have thought so. Dehydrators have a very slow fan extraction system which is low power and runs for several days.
Hi Dee, The defrost setting can be used for certain foods, but it would be best to look up dehydrating instructions for the specific food you want. Regards
Thank you
Internal light flashing constantly. Oven will not operate
Hi Geoff, It is difficult to detemine the issue with the oven without seeing it. It would be best to email Arisit Technical Support on arisit.warranties@arisit.com to see if they can recommend a solution, or if they think a technician needs to come out to have a look. Regards
Can what appears to be a crumb tray on my whirlpool JT369 be removed for cleaning. Thankyou
If you mean the plastic fascia beneath the door, I believe it is just two philips head screws accessed from the underside. Slide the microwave right to the edge of the bench/cavity and you'll get easy enough access.
Thank you for your help. Your prompt reply is appreciated.
for bread and buns do we use forced air or forced air combi ?
Forced Air Combi is used for cakes and pastries but never at more than the 90W setting. We have never done breads/buns in ours so I cannot testify to the outcome, only that you need to use the low wire rack
Thanks there is only 1 rack which i can use.How can I learn to use this oven more efficiently ? Any video or better user manual available ?
Hi, I got some water in the front of micro where door opens in the crack. Now just flickers. All the info comes up but won't work. Will it dry out?
Hi, I got water in the very front where the door opens, now flickers & won't actually work. Will it dry out? All features come up but don't work. Thanks.
how to automatically stop the microwave it continue to turn even after its time end why?
Depending on the function you're using, the fans will keep going for a little while to cool down.
What am I supposed to use in the forced air combo - plastic or steel
PAGE #17 of external link says to "Use the Low Wire Rack to put food on to allow the air to circulate properly around the food."
DO NOT USE : Crisp Pan, Baking Tray, Steamer or Spatter Cover in this mode
I agree as above answer use the wire rack
Where can one get the recipe book for the Whirlpool JT369?

Hello, We have been given a JT369. I have downloaded the manual however I am wondering are you able to place a metal tray inside it as you can in a convection oven?
I can't find anywhere in the manual where it actually says you can.
Thanking you in advance
Yes, when in fan-forced oven mode or grill mode you can use metal racks and trays.
Ie any of the modes on the left that DO NOT feature the Microwave symbols in the upper corners.
Thank you!
Yup as above in all modes Except microwave metal trays can be used
Thank you!
My microwave doesn't heat my food... technician says it's the fan faulty doesn't strong enough to blow heat thru.... also there's a loud noise when switch on... please help...tx
In which mode? A fan doesn't blow electromagnetic waves through the appliance.
Sounds like rubbish to me. Microwaves don`t work like that. The magnetron excites the air and molecules in in the food thus creating heat .The heat isn`t created and blown over the food by the fan. If it`s noisy and the food isn`t heated I suggest it is a faulty magnetron or the noise could be the bearings in the fan
Can we bake bread rolls in the microwave?
You would be able to on the oven setting I would imagine. I've successfully baked cakes in it
My JT369WH is 6.5 years old now and we have made cakes in it, but never bread sorry - other than Bake@Home rolls :)
I am pretty sure you should be able to bake fresh dough on the fan forced mode with the pan elevated up on the low rack.
Bought my Whirlpool JT369/Sl just short of two years ago, and what a pleasure thus far using it for baking, cooking, grilling, and and and.
But now it started cutting out after about 30 seconds of use, with exclamation mark in triangle in the display.
When I then push start again, it starts up again, with sort of a grinding sound coming from below the turn table and the turn table not turning smoothly, but then cuts out again only seconds later.
The microwave still seems to heat and work normally besides from the above hampering the operation.
What could the problem be?
Sorry I never had that problem, amongst the several faults that occurred my main problem was that the magnetron stopped working which I think is situated at the top of the machine. You problem sounds more like a bearing in the turntable. I suspect only fixable by an approved engineer. Best of luck.
external link Does the same error and sound present itself if you remove the glass tray and wheeled-triangle (when using the default microwave mode) How about if running in fan-forced convection oven mode.
If you can narrow it down to just the turntable motor having been compromised by liquid ingress etc. you can replace it via a part sourced from the link above
Try out the no turntable turning mode ( circle arrow with line thru) and see if it cuts out, if it doesn't it is the turntable mechanism
How do I get to the light bulb?
If I remember correctly you have to unscrew the outer case and slide it off . I haven`t had to do it myself but looking at it a few minutes ago, that seems to be the way to go. Hope this helps
