Concluded our electrical alterations etc today with Amber. It was obvious that Amber spent much time preparing for our appointment and I was extremely appreciative of that and her professionalism and overall assistance to date. were happy to answer any questions I Wilson Homes have been completely transparent with us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Wilsons to anyone, especially first time builders. Wilsons have made what could have been a very stressful process (building a home) exactly the opposite.

Error after error AFTER ERROR, then bailed with invented reasons – Prior to my last rating 9 months ago of exceptional, Wilson Homes failed to continue in this manner. Sole female income earner with 2 adult disability sons living at home. How hard would it be to build a house to suit all requirements? Very hard apparently when asking to be presented with an error free plan for the last 9 months; same errors… Read more
(outdoor shower and laundry door opening accessibility), then Wilson Homes late 2023 threw another being not transparent that they had a fixed price quoting error in retaining walls. Worked through retaining wall, other two issues continued with numerous requests to rectify. How hard is it to have a usable laundry door and an outdoor shower for dog grooming? 9 months of hard, that's how hard; but wait! Early 2024 Wilson Homes submitted for planning approval and drafting threw in yet another error of an indoor heat pump unit on a ducted heating plan!!!
I cancelled the meeting for today via email until such time as I could be presented with an error free plan. Today I received an email and letter from regional manager saying as I had failed to appear for the meeting, and due to Wilson Homes deciding 'for me' that I can't afford this build (without asking me, $140k+ income for this financial year!!!!) they will not be proceeding to build a house for me.
I had finished all selections end 2023, just waited for drafting to get the house plans correct, my affordability had doubled in the interim as I worked my butt off to achieve this.
Just a waste of time since first contact 9th June 2023, at a cost of over $30,000 for myself. See google reviews for more.
Avoid... This circus can't even get an outdoor shower right (not a new thing ah) and a laundry door to open. I'm embarrassed for Wilson Homes that plans were even sent to me with these errors having slipped through all the checks they apparently have.
One year wasted. Traumatic end experience.
Great sales pitch, at start.... All downhill from there. AVOID.

Lack of Pride & Quality in Ones Work - Any old Tradie will do! So disappointing! – We commenced designs in 2021 finally commenced building in October 2022 then moved into our home in October 2023! Love our design and ease of living however the tradies hired leave a lot to be desired. We were promised on Practical Completion, that the justified repairs would be carried out in a timely manner. within 2 weeks however majority were not, requiring an email to remind Wilson Homes we were still waiting on the 1st April 2024 for the remainder of the work to be attended too! We were followed up on the 16th April 2024 however we are still waiting for the retainer wall to be rectified despite this having been brought to their attention as far back as December 2022. A bricklayer did turn up and wiped his finger in some mortar and wiped it along the capping however within 2 days once again the bricks were falling off! See photos!
Please advise when you will provide a quality and qualified trades person to rectify this problem.

extra due to the negligence of the builders mistakes of hitting rock when excavating - we were not responsible. Obviously a thorough inspection of the land was not performed. - Wilson Homes tried to get over $4,600 out of us and only gave us 7 days notice. - Staff were questioning if we were certain that we owned our block of land. - Our plans were forgotten about - this was admitted after questioning. - Deadlines were ignored - leaving us in immense stress. Again, this was admitted after complaints.
Post Construction:
- We have been waiting 2 months for our kitchen drawer handle and have still not received it. - 12 cm gap left under the fencing around the entire block. - Carpet was not installed properly - it started coming out almost instantly. - Our landscaping was not complete. We were presented plans of landscaping and the project coordinator pointing out our trees/plants we would get ect. When we complained to Wilson Homes regarding this, they first responded with the wrong plans and then proceeded to say our plans that were presented to us we would not receive. - Our once flat block of land has been left with a very steep bank. - Copious amounts of left over woodchip was left in our front yard.

Worst experience of my life! – My wife and I built with Wilson Homes and since practical completion we have had nothing but issues. Nothing from practical completion was fixed before we moved in, not one thing. quite large, front door water damaged and stained over, front door stained but frame of the door not stained, incorrect toilet door fitted (they say it is on order, and has been for months) The tiles in the wet areas used for skirting boards are not capped (they were cut and left unpolished so look terrible) The tile we picked for the bathrooms and laundry were a dark terrazzo tile (which looked wonderful) once installed in the house some of these tiles were found to have random white rocks in them, the tiles we picked in the showroom did not contain white rocks, to make it worse there was only a quarter of the tiles that had these white rocks but they grouped them together on the floor of the main bathroom so it looks like a bird has flown over and done its business all over the bathroom floor. We have tried to have the manager from Wilson homes to come and see the tiles for months, there has been no phone calls and no visit to inspect the tiles.
Overall, this has just been the worst experience and I would tell anyone thinking of building with Wilson Homes to stay well away!

Love our new home – Our build took about 18 months from signing , there was a few hiccups at the start with the foundation Chris our building boss got it all sorted & everything was managed well between Jesse & Chris keeping us informed along the way . The overall process with Wilson Homes Launceston was great the office staff (Jessie) answered all our concerns in a timely and professional manner. Unfortunately the last weeks of the build through to hand over were not so great as there seemed to be a break down in communication between Wilson Homes & a supplier which effected the hand over dramatically. My wife & I are pleased with the finished product with only a few small issues that need attention which I believe will be done in the near future. and communication from Admin was nothing short of legendary with quick and effective communication. Where I chose to build has some communication issues but my messages and calls from Sydney were answered as quickly as humanly possible and on reflection my concerns that the build would not have a certificate of occupancy in time for my arrival were ill founded. Yes I would recommend the Wilson folk to anyone.
Fit Form Function – The entire team at Launceston was warm, welcoming and easy to talk to on the preconstruction of my home. The process was seamless and lived up to my expectations and I was overwhelmed with the choices I could make, I got the colours I required, and the consultant offer her knowledge of what would work well with my idea.
